Not intended for professional use
Bought this impact in October of 2022
Performed well for the first year but after that it went down hill. It wouldn’t reliably change directions and most recently the trigger started to intermittently work. I rely very heavily on this tool to make a living and need to be able to depend on it. There are guys at work with five year old Milwaukees that still work like new. I’ve been forced to change to the competition so I can get the job done. Very disappointed in the longevity of this impact.

I use this impact daily in an automotive environment. It has proven to be worth its weight in gold! This impact, paired with a 4Ah battery, is light enough to use all day with no fatigue. Even though it’s very light and compact, there are very few situations where I have to swap it out for a mid-torque or high-torque. This impact will do any wheel service and general fastener removal without breaking a sweat. This tool will be your go to!

After having this for a while it's done everything I've asked of it. Having this much torque it will fit a lot peoples needs so they won't have to buy a larger impact.

I bought this unit after my awesome experience with the dewalt 1/2 mid torque impact.
I decided the snap on electric tooling was getting replaced.
This 3/8” impact was much more compact which made me skeptical at first. Upon first use I knew this was a wise purchase. It put my 3/8 electric snap on one to shame.
The tool is so much smaller and has way more power.
I use this tool daily as a heavy duty mechanic and advise anyone on the fence to dive right in.
The only downside I had was I had to get used to so much power at my finger tips. What I used to have to hammer tight for an extended period with the snap on impact results in overtightened broken bolts with this mighty guy.
Which in turn lead me to find that the adjustable torque output button comes in very handy, it reduces the power output of the tool when you want a little fineness.
I am very happy with this unit!

This has now become my go to impact wrench to the point where I haven't even had to touch my mid torque and hi torque options ever since I got this. The versatility and the overall maneuverability that such a minimal form factor blesses you with is a game changer for me, but then when you factor in the insane amount of power that this has and there's not much that this thing can't handle with ease. It's every bit as capable and powerful as the best stubby air impacts on the market.... All without the need for cords or compressed air.
Dewalt are the new standard bearers when it comes to this particular segment of the market and have set the bar rather high, all at a fair price. Highly, highly recommended.

Great tool with minor drawbacks
It has worked great so far with everything I have used it for. Lug nuts on smaller vehicles are no issue, seat bolts, all of the smaller stuff around the exterior has been no issue. I've used it for my ATV, SXS and a couple cars. I also used it to drive large lag bolts into studs for a larger TV mount as well as securing items to overhead support beams in my basement. It hasn't had any issues as far as power. The modes are great and I love that the light can be adjusted or turned off completely. The only issue I have run into a couple times is battery retention while the tool is horizontal with the battery release facing down. Not sure how to correct this but it does concern me that I may eventually damage a battery from this happening and we all know the batteries aren't cheap.

This small impact is all most people would need.
This impact driver is very powerful. I have 1/2" pneumatic impacts that this 3/8" battery power puts to shame. This tool will remove lug nuts with ease, even with a small 2 ah battery it will remove all four wheels with plenty of battery to spare. It has four different modes that handle anything. Removing lug nuts I just used the bolt and nut mode. This mode also has a useful feature that when backing off nuts it slows the RPM down once the nut is loose which is helpful in the fact that you can back off nuts and have more control not to drop the nuts. I used this to drive 8" long 5/8" lag bolts into 4x8 timber and it drove them without breaking a sweat all the way in. I am very impressed and may not need to use my 1/2" battery powered Dewalt impact it is that good. Taking off the lug nuts, it did it just as easy as the 1/2" Dewalt did and its much lighter. I highly recommend this tool to anyone. I have also used it in some tight places where my larger DeWalt was to big to fit, removing rear axle on an F 150. It removed all the hardware without a sweat and it was less tiring than using the much heavier 1/2" drive.

Great size. Fits in areas a larger unit will not
This is a great option to use between an impact driver and a full sized impact wrench. It has plenty of power, yet the compact size makes it easier to fit in tight spaces. It worked great on some 5/8" lag screws on an outdoor project. My impact driver was having a bit of trouble fully seating them. I also used this on my trailer wheels to tighten them down and it worked fine. I am now keeping this in my car if I have to change a tire on my camper/car when I'm not near home. I plan on refurbishing my utility trailer when it warms up, and the small size of this will help me get in the tight spaces to snug up some bolts when I put it back together.

Very impressed with the Atomic series 3/8” impact. It has almost replaced my full size 1/2” XR impact in terms of use. Very light, great if you use one several hours a day! It has the necessary torque to get me out of most situations I need it in.

Stubby impact for tight spaces and power
The 3/8" impact wrench is handy for tight spaces. It has become my go to impact for power and quick use. I do like the ability to turn the work light on and off as needed, but the torque settings are a different story. The different settings make it a neat tool (fancy, but it can leave bolts loose in certain situations in the torque limiting mode. I believe the user needs to have an understanding of how much torque should be applied for their application and use the variable trigger speed for tightening.
