The Ridgid 456R (70677) Precision Ratcheting Flare Tool Is Designed To Form 45° R410A Flares With Minimum Effort. A Reversible Ratchet Is Built Into The Feed Screw Handle, Enabling It To Turn Easily And Require Less Motion And Effort Than A Standard Handle. The Flare Tool Is Also Equipped With A Hardened Steel Flaring Cone, Which Is Eccentrically Mounted In The Needle Bearings. The Cone Produces A Rolling Action For An Even Metal Flow, Resulting In Uniform Flare Walls Without Galling. A Clutch Automatically Releases To Iron And Smooth The Flare After It Is Completed. The 456R Flare Tool Will Flare Steel, Stainless Steel, Hard Copper And Brass Tubing Through A Wall Thickness Of 0.035" (0.9 Mm).
