Bosch GDE18V-26DN SDS-plus Bulldog Mobile Dust Extractor

This Bosch dust collector works great. It is an attachment for the Bulldog rotary hammer and works flawlessly with it. I used it while drilling into brick to mount a new outdoor lamp and it worked great. No after clean up necessary. The hole was left ready for the screws and wall anchors. Really glad I got it. It is a great addition to your tool set.

I recently received this tool, the tool is the GDE18V-26DN 18V SDS-plus® Bulldog™ 1 In. Dust Collection Attachment. I’m going to be honest at first I had no idea how to use this tool, and then I looked into it and it’s a great tool to have.the dust collection attachment is very useful. I will continue to use when I work.

This was such an addition to our tools we’ve been using to build our home. With having littles in the house, it was a plus to have this dust collector, to prevent more of a mess or even have it circulating in the air. Suction was actually pretty great, definitely recommend.

This vacuum works great. I am amazed how clean it left the holes, there is basically no reason to do anything to clean the hole before inserting mechanical anchors, and cleaning the hole for Epoxy would be much simpler. I used this vacuum while drilling through a wood sill and then into concrete, and for drilling directly on a concrete slab, and it left no dust in either case. At one point, heating lines in the slab were incorrectly marked, and I hit one, causing glycol to come out of the hole. The vacuum was on, and sucked up a considerable amount of glycol. It seems that thos vacuum was designed to handle liquids, because it proved rather easy to clean out, both glycol and the mud that formed from the glycol mixing with the dust in the collection chamber. I do wish that the vacuum could power directly off the drill battery. The drill is clearly designed to accept the vacuum, if a power port was added as part of that mounting, it could run the vacuum. Even if the vacuum ran on its own battery, such a port could be used to have the vacuum come on automatically with the drill. Finally, the light on the drill is blocked by the vacuum, it might be nice to have a light on the vacuum as well.

This rotary Hammer dust collector is the best one I've tried. It's high quality material. It truly helps keep the mess from inside the place I'm working. The didn't collector was easy to attach to the rotary Hammer.

I used the Bosch Dust Collector for my Bosch Bulldog 1-1/8” SDS-plus Rotary Hammer to drill holes in a concrete foundation for my stonework. I am a Masonry/General Contractor and I have tried a few different brands of dust collecting attachments. Here are the negatives. I found that this setup is very heavy and bulky. Which makes drilling holes a chore. Especially with the bigger 8AH batteries. You have to put them on both the rotary hammer and the dust collector. It makes the unit as a whole very heavy and awkward. I don’t like that when you attach the rotary hammer to the dust collector, the dust collector blocks the LED light from the rotary hammer and you can’t see what you are doing in certain situations. Also I noticed that if you are drilling a lot of holes the small filter needs to be cleaned very frequently. Here are the positives. The things I like are how easy everything attaches. I like that it does a good job at collecting the dust before it is airborn (as long as you keep up on cleaning filter) and causes a mess or it ends up in your lungs. Most construction sites require dustless tools these days. It is convenient in the fact that you don’t need a big vacuum to lug around with multiple hoses and cords to trip on. I would recommend this tool for certain situations but with it being big and bulky and awkward it makes it tough to use in tight spots or overhead.

GDE18V-26DN 18V SDS-plus® Bulldog™ 1 In. Dust Collection Attachment with the GBH18V-28DCN 18V Brushless Connected-Ready SDS-plus® Bulldog™ 1-1/8 In. Rotary Hammer is awesome. It helps alot with dust but is a bit heavy.
