Not sure what these people want out of a laser bracket. Strong magnet and fits my tripod perfect.
Very heavy duty for the price
What’s the lock for?

Nothing professional about the threaded mount!
As many have stated, the 1/4 - 20 mounting screw tighten into the base of the laser securely, but then the entire mounting knob flutters freely and reveles around it's mount, making this method of securing the laser extremely insecure, and virtually useless since there is no way short of wedging it in place with a shim of securing the laser in a fixed position while attached by this mount to the base. So the base becomes worthless.

Lock button that does nothing?
The laser spins around uselessly when screwed into position on the unit. I would assume that the lock knob is there to lock the laser mounting base to keep the laser from spinning, but nope. Finding any documentation in regards to the lock mechanism function is also a complete mystery.

Does not hold rotational position
If you breath on this thing the laser spins out of position. Disappointing design. It came with my gll3-330cg but this mount is practically useless.

I did a soffit system out of extruded aluminum interlocking planks. This made the 16 facets I had to line up, alot easier. All of the boards inside of the building match up perfectly thanks to the precision afforded to me by this mount.

Just bought this unit and agree with other review about the laser spinning very easily when attached to the base. This base is included with the GLL3-300 model which is very nice but would like a base with fine tune adjustments for the price.
