Bought this model some time ago and have used it less than ten times. The weight and feel of the device is solid and cuts are clean and precise, but that’s irrelevant if the device cannot lock in the blades. A tool shouldn't lose a saw blade in the middle of a cut, “and yes it was initially locked in.” I’m not being unreasonable to expect a safe reliable product from Bosch. I tried to explain the safety concern with the support person, but the response was predictable, “it’s out of warranty.” That shouldn’t be an excuse for a company like Bosch to not stand behind a product if it was defective and at the very least it should have been elevated to the safety team, unless they don’t have one.

Bought over 1 year ago, best jig saw I’ve ever used. The heavy duty guide system virtually eliminates deflection even on tight curves is 2x material

This is my go to tool for all difficult cuts in a variety of materials. I used it extensively in building a cabin at our vacation spot, including cutting wood, vinyl siding, etc.
