Compact, ergonomic, awesome
This impact is probably the most comfortable power tool I've ever used. It fits perfectly in my hand. It's great for quickly removing multiple smaller fasteners like the ones you'll find in the engine bay of your car. However, it has a pretty decent amount of breakaway torque, should you need it. All while having precision control so you don't overtighten fasteners that go into plastic (coil packs, bumper and headlight assemblies. Highly recommend, I forgot to mention the awesome light ring on this thing.

I can’t believe I took so long to purchase
This impact/driver is a MUST have for your tool collection. Drives screws with ease. If you are still using a drill to drive screws it’s time to upgrade. Very easy to use in tight spaces and makes the job quicker and more efficient. Great tool to own!!!

Does everything but my 150lb torqued lug nuts.
I bought these with the intention of just having something cheap and easy to get into tools. Well. Now I'm about 2K invested into dewalt over the month. I have this little guy to blame.
But it's really been a great little machine for my car. It pops everything off but the lug nuts. Def not a lug nut remover for performance vehicles. But that's outside of it's listed specs anyways.
I hope they come out with an even further powerful battery for the 12v line. I really like the compact size and weight against the XR's and the Atomics. I really enjoy that it feels very natural in my very large hands too. Barely feels like a feather compared to the other big daddy torque wrenches I have.
Now for longevity? Been almost a month and haven't had to recharge the first battery in the kit I received. Took apart a few parts on my cars engine to get the cruddy plastic cover off the engine. And now I also have a tool that can fit in those tight places and really get at the parts I want to fix. Instead of going to a pro garage and paying out my wazu.
Overall, I like the little 12v's. I'm a repair guy and this is perfect for fast movement and getting around easily. STOP acting like this is a failed Milwaukee killer. It's not, it's an even smaller format to get around in those tight spots and for the price point. This is a great little torque wrench to keep in the trunk for repairs. Again, not for professional level lug nuts over 125lb torque. I have 150lb torqued lug nuts on my performance sports car. Too bad. So I bought the 899 and 895 just for good measure.
My only odd discovery is that I found that the device shorts out the lights when I'm on clock wise low power. The slight

I waited till the 12v impact gun came out and when I recived it I was eager to put it to work. Having used some other brands of compact impact guns I had high hope for this, I must admit I am now a little underwhelmed by the effort it puts I'm, I have looked at the new 18v and I think I'm going to keep away from dewalt equipment in the future as that doesn't really pack much more punch than the 12v. Also the light on the gun packed up in less than a month so it's not to rugged either. I do like the design, the weight and how compact it is but it's not the tool for the job. I have now replaced it with the 12v milwaukee and it runs rings round the dewalt and it's not much more expensive.

Great alternative to a ratchet
I've got most of the impact tools from DeWalt and they all work great. The 3/8s drive impact is perfect for nuts and bolts, lag screws, just about anything you need to use it for. It has plenty of power for the automotive jobs I have used it on. I use the 5.0a batteries and this tool lasts a long time before having to change out batteries. I did a lift kit and differential rebuild on my Jeep using mostly the 3/8 and 1/2 in impacts and they handle the task with ease.
