Pretty good stand. I was considering the roller stand for the 60v miter saw, but quickly realized I’m able to load and unload the saw and the stand myself with this. For something as lightweight as this stand it’s extremely well built and has zero issues supporting weight. Beams slide out from both ends making this stand pretty long. Zero issues supporting 16’ material. The stops for multiple same size cuts aren’t the greatest and can vary your cuts a bit, but not something I find myself needing to do very often. Stand folds out and back up effortlessly and the handle is great for carrying it around. Definitely a great choice for anyone needing to separate there saw and stand for transport.

Sturdy and functional BUT beware of the clips
As others have stated the stand itself is very sturdy and functional the problem is the spring loaded clips that attach the saw to the stand. One of mine was shipped broken and the other one only lasted a couple weeks. The spring loaded clips have a lot of moving parts and are very fragile. I’m always careful with my tools but wasn’t able to keep the clips from breaking. Since I was able to find a pair of solid replacement clips on eBay I assume this has been a problem for a while now. The aftermarket clips seem to resolve the problem but for the price of the stand I shouldn’t have had the problem to begin with. Dewalt needs to redesign the clips.

Missing Locking Locator Clip
I got the DWX723 stand for free when I purchased the DWS780 Miter saw. The stand was easy to assemble and seems solid, but it did not come with a locking locator clip. The owners manual for the DWX723 stand on the Dewalt site shows the locator clip on the parts list. The locator clip is not showing on the parts list in my owners manual and the clip was not included with the hardware pack. The locator clip is a safety feature and prevents the saw from sliding on the track while cutting. I'm surprised and concerned that my stand did not come with a locator clip as shown on the Dewalt site. I'm hoping Dewalt reaches out and sends me the missing clip. Otherwise, I'll have to search for the clip from a part supplier. The stand itself is of good quality, but the missing clip is a concern, resulting in a lower rating of the stand.

Good stand, but the clamp releaess are trash
The stand itself is great. Not worth $300, but probably worth $100. It is pretty stable, however the miter saw clamp releases that come with it break very easily (mine broke during its second use).
You can get 3d printed replacement clamp releases for about $20 off of eBay that are ten times better than the clamp releases that come with this stand.
Very disappointing for a Dewalt product.

Great stand let down by weak plastic parts.
The stand works well, but I found that the plastic levers on the mounting brackets break easily and can't be replaced other than by buying a completely new set of brackets (with more weak plastic levers). This is disappointing given the quality we've come to expect from Dewalt, especially given that the stand is sold as 'heavy-duty'.

Truly Great Miter Saw Stand
I just finished assembling my DWX723 Miter Saw Stand. It is the longer, heavy duty one with moveable material support arms, saw mounting brackets, and all the hardware. It is great. The table itself sets up in less than a minute. The same for folding it up to put it away. I have mounted my saw on the brackets and then clipped it to the table with the included quick disconnects. The saw is solid. The stand is solid. The outwardly canted legs ensue little or no wobble. It is a very stable platform. The brackets ensure that the weight of the saw is well balanced on the platform (forward and back). The material support arms are easy to adjust for length of stock. The elevation of the support arms lines up perfectly with my saw. I am ready to start my next project: replacing the wooden louvres used for crawl space ventilation. It is well engineered, fabricated, and assembled. It is excellent value considering cost, quality, and functionality.

As with any purchase you are always skeptical when you spend your money on tools. As a professional carpenter I have had many types of saws and stands. I love this stand. Some guys like the wheeled version, however I’m old school and take my saw off and store it. Very light weight but very durable. Most people may have negative things to respond with but I have abused my stand and have not had any issues what so ever.
Only draw back is when working with true size timber’s use your braces. Other than that I buy another in a heartbeat.

I have been using this stand for well over two years and is is a great piece of equipment. It's very stable and doesn't wobble at all. Moving it is a little cumbersome but just take your time. The only real issue that I've had is with the sliding/adjustable material supports/stops. The cheap little lock down knob was worthless. It's a little two sided knob that didn't last but just a few months before both sides cracked a fell apart. I use these a lot and also found that getting my large fingers in to turn the little two sided knob was frustrating at the least. Dewalt should have spent another dollar and supplied some wheel like knobs. I replaced my broken knobs with a round one with finger slots. They work great and lock down very easy and secure.

Purchased in 2013 and have been using them regularly since. Awesome stand, easy to set up and have worked flawlessly each time. Bought as a Fathers Day gift to myself as a saw/ stand combo from Lowes at a great price. Only complaint would be that the outrigger extension is not wide enough so cutting down 2"x10"x12' on Miter Saw, very durable but need to carefully moving and sliding boards that wide, big and heavy since the outrigger shelf is only 6 inches or so. At one point I did see they make wider ones but never pulled the trigger on them. Used the stop feature the first time when I did my last project for repeatable sizes and it was super fast and a time saver. At the end of the day taking saw off and putting everything away is a breeze, so quick and convent with the stands leg locks and outrigger locking mechanism. I can see this thing outlasting me and my kids, it's built to last. I am looking at the Dewalt 735x to drop in price and plan on purchasing another set of DW7231 mounting brackets for it so I can use the planer outside on milled boards that I have.

I’ve had this stand now for 2 years and still as good as the first day, It’s the best accessory that you can have for your miter saw. Easy to fold and put away and easy to set up.
