DeWalt DCF901B 12V MAX 1/2" Impact Wrench (Tool Only)

I use the 12v Xtreme Impact Wrench for basically all my DIY automotive needs. Its powerful. Works no problem and zero hesitation on my vehicles lug nuts torqued at 100 ft lbs. Doing all 4 wheels is no problem and doesn't use a single bar of the 12v 5 ah battery. Very handy and lightweight to fit pretty much anywhere you'd need an impact wrench. I use this way more often that I did with larger more powerful impact wrenches. DeWalt's 12v Xtreme line of tools are a total win and as far as I'm concerned a must have for homeowners looking for quality, lightweight and powerful tools.

Before I purchased this I watched a bunch of reviews on YouTube before doing so. After seeing the hype I went to my local Lowe's and found a deal for the 12v xtreme dcf801 impact driver and dcd701 drill driver with 2 batteries, charger and bag. Then I got to choose between a few different bare tools for free with the dcf901 being one of them. So far I have used it to take the tires off my suv and change the rear shocks. The mounting bolts were extremely rusty but the 901 just laughed at them and ripped em right off with zero hesitation. That was using one of the 2ah batteries provided with the drill kit. You can also get 3ah and 5ah batteries as well. I can only imagine the power with a 5ah. It absolutely reaches its torque specifications and supercedes them. Stanley/BD has always been great with their specs and they still are. Doesn't have any modes besides reverse and forward but really not needed on impact wrenches in my opinion. Has a hog ring anvil which holds sockets perfectly and has 3 led lights surrounding the face. Absolutely great bit of kit and highly suggest this to anyone looking for a small form factor impact wrench but needs power specs almost at a mid torque range!

This thing is impressive. It has all the power of 20v in the compact size of 12v. The guy at lowes was dissing it for being 12v and for diy and I said you don’t know. If has all the power of 20v 400ftlbs of removal torque in a 12v frame. Autos are so compact to work on that this is perfect to break free rust bolts and fit in tight spaces. This thing has performed at everything o have thrown at it and with the free 3ah and 5ah batteries if is a solid value. I highly recommend it. Especially if you are already in the 12v line. Thank you dewalt for listening and expanding the 12v line to have some awesome tools.

Got this to replace my Chicago pneumatic CP7732 stubby impact.
This had every bit the power maybe more. No airline to contend with.
Great power. Great light.
Takes off all properly torqued lug nuts no problem.
Get some impact swivel sockets use it almost anywhere

This impact has almost the same specs as the earlier 20 volt max brushed model, in a much smaller package. I've had mine for 9 months now, and it still impresses me. I've removed some extremely rusted lug nuts with it, and it doesn't even hesitate. Pair this with a 5ah battery, and you'll be set all day. I've also used it to set some lag screws in an old telephone pole, and it was satisfying to watch how quick they set. It feels great to hold, and even the sound it makes is bold. Only thing that would make it better is if they carried over the light ring from the 12 volt extreme 3/8 impact.

So far this impact has impressed me very much. Works great for many automotive needs, like exhaust clamps, brakes,light lugs nuts,suspension,etc. Even gets some axle nuts but is'nt really made for that type of torque so i usually use my high torque 1/2in. for those. Gives Milwaukee a serious run for the price! Mower blades are a breeze! A 5ah battery is a near must if used regulary.

Dewalt has really stepped it up for us full-time auto technicians! The size, power and price of this unit is right on point. I've been enjoying the extreme 12v line of tools for a couple of years now including the little 3/8 impact which I love for smaller fasteners. This recent addition is awesome, I work full time a a busy dealership and this will break loose anything under the car be it suspension or brakes or whatever. All the power i need in a great size. Coupled with the new 5ah battery the power consumption is very good! Love it and do do some of the other techs in the shop, I think these will sell well.
