Does what it's supposed to do
I just bought this kit and have only made a few cuts with it, it's about what I expected, it works about as well as a 42cc saw. Nice to see it has metal felling spikes on it, and I was happy to see it has a real chain tensioner, not some gimmicky knob that slips. The body is comically long, maybe that's why it doesn't come with a bag. It's got an 18" bar but it's longer over all than my 62cc gas saw with a 24" bar. For nearly $600 CAD, I think Dewalt could have thrown in a T-wrench, and a bag, even my cheapest base model drill came with a bag. The manual says it comes with some stamped piece of steel to use as a wrench but I went over every inch of cardboard and couldn't find it. Luckily even an $89 saw off Amazon comes with a 13/19mm T-wrench wrench, so I had spares. I think there are nicer electric saws out there, but if you're already in the Dewalt battery ecosystem then this is currently the one to get.

Bought this and a over priced cluster of what I assume are 18650 batteries. Lasts 10 minutes tops. The chain is narrow and is a pain to sharpen. For the price you can buy a really nice stihl chainsaw that doesn't die at the start of the project and uses the same chains everyone else does for less.

Four uses and chain tensioner failed
Like most of the others here, the chain tensioner failed after only a few uses. The little twin sprocket gears have stripped, for no reason. I only tightened normally. I'd be happy to replace the part, well... not happy, but I'd do it, only no parts are available for the DCCS672. E-replacement doesn't list any parts for this model and Dewalt doesn't seem to have parts either. What gives?

Cheap chain tensioning screw
I have the same problem with the cheap chain tensioning screw. I tried 3 times and found the gears that tighten the chain & bar just slip. I contacted the parts dept from this site and the assistant could not help. He sent me a parts drawing and none of us could identify those gears below the chain sprocket. Please contact me also.

I purchased the tool in late November and used it three or four times for rather light work. After less than a month the bar chain oil pump stopped pumping. I found at least one other user on Youtube that had similar difficulty. I've since sent the tool back for warranty work. It's been a couple weeks at this point - still no word. Money is tight and when you drop hundreds on a new tool, you hope/expect that it will work and last. Now I'm out ~$400..... Should have bought an axe.

I've had the saw for about 18 mos and used it a dozen times or so. Today the saw won't start. Battery is fully charged and the chain brake isn't locked. This is the 2nd DeWalt battery operated tool that has stopped working less than 2 years after purchase. I have a 60v DeWalt blower that also quit after regular household use. I thought I was being smart purchasing all DeWalt battery operated tools so I could share the batteries which are expensive, but it has backfired one me.

Nice saw, 20V battery charger is BS
Saw is nice for around the house trimming branches (less than 4") but would not use it to cut down big trees. Leak oil unless you drain the tank before storing. ISSUE: 20V MAX battery charger!!!!!!! Why sell a 60V chainsaw with a 20V charger? The DCB118 charger that you need to purchase to run 60V is $100 ... or more.
Lousy marketing BS to make you think you are purchasing an awesome kit but in reality a low-end setup that will frustrate most users
