Very Disappointed! Waisted money!
We used this washer right after buying it and it worked fine. After about 4 uses the motor started smoking and we had to turn it off. I let it sit for an hour and tried again only to have the same problem. Tried again a day later and we had the same problem. It did work for a couple minutes and then starting smoking again. It was so disappointing as this is not an inexpensive unit. I had to then leave town and didn't have time to tinker with it thinking that it was something we were doing wrong. When I got home from being out of town I tried it again only to have to same problem. By this time it was out of the return time. I didn't know what to do about it by then. Today we were trying to find information online about maybe fixing it and this is when we came across these reviews. I am so surprised that you are still selling it with this as a major problem and all these bad reviews. I always bought DeWalt products, because I had faith that they were solid products. This is such a turnoff that I don't want to purchase DeWalt in the future. I would love to know if there is a way to fix this unit as it is practically new and barely used. I paid over $350 for it and I am now out the money and don't have a pressure washer. Totally bummed that your company would allow this to keep going on like this. Would be nice to get some kind of compensation or be able to fix it so that I have more confidence in DeWalt in future.

I really liked this thing and would've given it five stars until yesterday. Bought it a little under a year ago, and it's been great, but yesterday I was using it to pressure wash my driveway and noticed that the pressure kept dropping, and when I went to the unit, I smelled burning. Stopped using it immediately and went online to see if there was any troubleshooting info on the Dewalt site, but there was nothing helpful, other than seeing that apparently a lot of other people have had the same issue with the unit. Not sure if it's still under warranty, or how to get it repaired/replaced if it is. Again, it was great while it worked, but having it die in under a year was a big disappointment.

I'm pleased. Worked it straight for several hours this afternoon. Several breaks etc but I actually got concerned after several hours as to the duty cycle of this unit. Being several hours into mostly continuous use I immediately got concerned. I checked the manual, didn't find anything. Check the net and here I am.
Seeing as my last two washers buckled down last week, I am pleasantly pleased with this little unit. Electric, not gas but pleased as heck with the work it's doing.

Don't waste your money. Used once and it never worked again. You get pretty pressure from your hose.

Love the storage and will see what comes after re.
So I bought this as a gamble because I have read the reviews it seems to be the same problem over and over but the hood reviews are almost as much as the bad. With that said I am in the one star club sadly. (To the point) the tool broke down after an hour of use out the box. While Dewalt offered an exchange and or repair I was left uneasy about the next unit or repairs to be done would be a solve to the issue. So …. I am a curious fella and decided to open it up and have a look see for myself. After poking around for a few minutes with a multimeter. I found that all the components were electronically fine and the electrical part of the pressure switch was operating as it should. So the issue lies in the spring of the switch. I believe it is too strong for the pressure provided by the pump to consistently overcome the spring. I heated the spring under slight pressure in the two center coils to weaken it.conclusion is the pressure washer is back going with no issues this far. As time goes on I may readjust the starts. Kudos to Dewalt for trying to be helpful. I just didn’t want to wait on my vendor or the hassle of sending it of the waiting and uncertainty of what I would get back. Hope this helps.

One year old, GFCI faulty. Was stored indoors over winter, won't run in Spring. I get green indicator on GFCI initially then it goes off. Test/Reset does not work. Tried on multiple outlets on same circuit in garage with no success. Online comments suggest quality control with DWPW2100 which does not appear to be sold anymore and has been replaced with 3000 Max PSI Brushless DWPW3000. Service system is maddingly circular. Go to website, try to email, referred back to website to text then given generic where you can find repair page. Not impressed. Looking at other vendors.

Just bought it today, worked for 2 mins, and stopped. I'm really disappointed, taking it tomorrow back to the store.

Guess I’ll be shopping for a new non dewalt pressu
Had this unit a little over a year. Used about 3-4 times. Took it out of storage to use yesterday and never started up at all. Wish wife would have looked at reviews before purchasing. Can’t even buy or find parts to fix it myself.

One of the worst units I've had
I've owned a lot of different pressure washers, some good some bad. In my experience electric pressure washers in this class last around 6 months - 1 year, depending on the amount of use, and initial cost. This unit is on the higher cost end of the lower tier units. It worked great at first, decent, consistent pressure. Nowhere no near 2100, more around 1100, which is fine for light/medium duty, washing cars, etc. This unit has completely stopped working in less than 3 weeks. I have had units a fraction of the cost last considerably longer than this unit. It's very aesthically attractive and ergonomic, and by a solid brand, which is why I bought it. But the internals on this unit are absolute trash. I didn't expect years and years of use, but less than 3 weeks is absolutely unacceptable. Please if you're looking for an electric pressure, DO NOT BUY THIS ONE. We work hard for our money to just burn it on something that has no longevity and for a company that won't even back their product. They are well aware of the numerous issue with this unit, but have done nothing to correct the issues or pull it from production. You'll be far better off with a Ryobi for less, or a Active 2.0 for around the same cost.
