DeWalt DWST17818 DW Tstak Clipboard

I always use a clipboard, and I always have the same 2 problems;

1) no room for stationery
2) no room for the clipboard.

I've had others with storage, but there's no room in the truck. The ones without storage, I always have to go looking for a pen, pencil, eraser, marker, stapler, etc.

The DeWALT Clipboard solves these problems. I can store all my stationery, and the clipboard too! It is the best I've ever had. The light on top is a great addition. That said, it seems a bit flimsy. I don't know if it's "DeWALT Tough" time will tell. But the value you get for under $30 bucks, it's well worth the money!

I’ll admit this organizer has some nice features. The LED light above the outside clipboard is great. I expected a small lithium battery sealed in a more water resistant case, but it came with a AAA alkaline battery. The case isn’t as sturdy as I would have wanted, but the extra length allows for space to use a legal pad. The pen holder on the inside is attached with small plastic “rivets” that have fallen out of place several times and I’ll probably have to glue them to stay put. With it attaching to the TSTAK system, I’d expect it to be very sturdy with a good latch, it is neither sturdy or has a good latch. The case is not a snug fit and in movement it comes apart at the corners which would allow water in. I’m not taking this to a pool, but I would expect my paperwork to stay dry in the rain, and I’m not confident it would. It’s too pricey for shoddy craftsmanship. It needs a rework in design and function.

This is one of the best clip boards I have ever used. I have been doing inspections for years, and this is organized, and the papers on the inside dont fall when opened. The extra storage on the inside is wonderful.
