DeWalt DWST17820 TSTAK Mobile Storage

This product was good until it wasn’t. Areas that should be designed for stress use cheap plastic instead of metal and break easily and are not something that can be replaced with a new part. The latching mechanism to hold the box to the arm broke and there is no way to fix it. I went with dewalt thinking I was buying quality, well I was wrong.

I bought the DEWALT TSTAK during Prime Days in July. I purchased this stacking system because of the telescoping handle, because it allowed me to lower the handle and to place the separate boxes in the rear of my vehicle. Unfortunately, the main latches have each broken causing the lids to open when I try to move the system. Although the six latches (two on each piece) are made of metal, they attach to flimsy plastic. Now the single telescoping handle no longer works reliably in that it pulls out of place, causing the system to wobble all over the place while pulling it.

I bought this model and apparently dewalt didn’t take into consideration the non adjustable height of the handle. It had to be laid down on its side to fit in the bed of my truck and still close the cover. Super disappointed

I was very disappointed when the item was delivered. Yes, I should’ve looked at the pictures more before I ordered it. I assumed for the money and the size of this tool box it would’ve had a better overall design. The button to raise and lower the handle should be on the handle like it is on the other large Dewalt tool box I have. But this button is on the actual tool box and it forces the user to bend over awkwardly each time. As a matter of fact all tool boxes with wheels that I’ve had have the raise and lower button on the handle!!!

Holds most of my cordless tools I need on a job. Good thing I got the tote too to hold the rest.
