DeWalt DWST550116 Leather Suspenders

I’m so disappointed with this purchase. After wearing the suspenders for LESS THAN A DAY one of the metal clasps broke off. Terrible quality.

I bought these suspenders because they don’t come with the new framer bags they have now. Well I’ve not wore them not even a week and the snap hooks has already broke on the back. I don’t know if they can handle the weight or if it’s just a factory defect. So now either I’m goin to try and see if I can send them back or just buy a regular set of Kolbalt suspenders and use them

Nice suspenders. Wish they would make a 4 point system, as most pouches don’t have three connection points. The leather is nice and good quality, they could have made the inside of the rivets a smoother option, as they seem a bit sharp and could maybe dig into shoulders or your back. Really good looking quality suspenders

As I am a little overweight, these Suspenders help me avoid “Dunlap” disease. Stomach overlapping belt! I would highly recommend this product and rugged design. I haven’t wore suspenders in the past, but I’ll wear them everyday now!

These are very nice and well made suspenders. I like the high quality of the leather with rivets on the corners for added strength. All metal clips to latch onto my belt and pouches. I never have to worry about them popping off if I jump or the pouches catch on framing or a ladder.. It can take a lot of wait when my bags are full. I especially like the middle clip that spans across the chest area. Making my bags swing less on my body and more stable. They are also very easy to adjust, keeping the weight more balanced between my back and shoulders. The only reason I gave it 4 stars for the fact that the leather shoulder pads start digging into my neck and little and start to become uncomfortable. I wear a full set of bags sometimes in my profession and they get heavy throughout the day. I found myself sliding the pads out of the way and the nylons straps were more comfortable without them. I have a somewhat fat neck so it may not be the same problem for others wearing them but it is for me. Hard to tell the longevity of these suspenders but given Dewalts reputation I don’t see them breaking down anytime soon.

Finally put this thing to use on roof installation job, very comfortable and makes movement on steep roofs a lot easier! If your tool belt is heavy this will make it feel 10 times lighter. High quality material should last a while.

With two divorces under my belt, neither as comforting or supportive as these are... I will be wearing these daily until they fray, which given the build quality...will likely be the rest of my career.

I wear them with my Utilikilts, of the Workman variety, and they are a great addition to an already eccentric uniform 🥰.

The leather shoulder pads are soft and comfortable right out the gate, and the straps have plenty of room for future growth of my midsection!

Let's start with the good. These are comfortable, sturdy, and have a huge range of sizes with how much you can adjust them. I tried them out with a homemade leather tool belt and after 6 hours of climbing up and down ladders with a load of tools on my belt, I was more comfortable than without them, by far. They helped distribute the weight and reduce fatigue. I'm a big guy and they fit comfortably with room to adjust larger, so you can wear them over any outdoor gear without trouble. The only downside was that I had to retrofit my homemade tool belt to fit the connections. so if you have an older belt without loops, these suspenders are a good reason to grab a newer model. They have a clasp and loop connection, so make sure your belt has the loops. I do recommend these suspenders, just make sure you have a compatible belt.

The quality of the craftsmanship was outstanding, We walked onto the new home build we were doing and I went to put them on my dewalt pouches, there were no hook holes, But my coworker had brand new Occidentals with perfect holes for them, loved the leather shoulder pads, all day long he walked around smiling telling me how great they were! I would have given five stars because I liked them so much and they adjusted to fit me, I weigh 300 lbs! Pouches never fit a 44 waist and never have hooks that work with that type of hasp. So double check that the hasp type will work with your type of pouches.

So far, I’m very pleased with the suspenders. I’ve never worn them before, but thought I would give it a try. Surprisingly comfortable lightweight and durable. I say surprisingly because I never thought suspenders would be comfortable to wear as your working. The material and buckles are reinforced and designed for long term use. The pads provide enough protection without being bulky or uncomfortable. Definitely a good bang for your buck on these. I would definitely recommend them to a friend.
