I have 4 of these, bought in 2017/18. They are still going strong. Great for my drill drivers, not intended for my saw, but have worked in a pinch for plywood & small cuts when other batteries were charging.

Massive upgrade from the old 18V Ni-Cd system
I bought a couple of these as the most inexpensive option to try and upgrade my old 18V Ni-Cd cordless tools. I could never manage to keep a charge on those, and I knew that Li-ion battery packs were much better at keeping a charge, as well as being more energy dense at any given weight. I honestly couldn't be happier, and even these low Ah batteries have reinvigorated my older tools.

Great customer service from Dewalt!
I had an issue with one of my batteries. It stopped charging after about a year. I have many other dewalt batteries that have lasted much longer so I was surprised when this one stopped working. I sent one email to Dewalt customer service and they sent me a new one within a week. Thank you for your speedy response, nice to see a company that has good service and values their customers! -Jake

The date stamp on my batteries is 2013, I bought them new and never had any issue with either of them and it's match of 2022. Certainly not a daily user but every week at least. I'm shocked to see the bad reviews, maybe the oldies are goodies?

Only one battery takes a charge
As others have indicated. Two batteries came with drill, one works fine the second will not take a charge

1 of the 2 batteries never worked right out of the box.
Drill is great, but I wish I had 2working batteries.

Great Drill, Terrible Batteries
The drill is quallity, The batteries are terrible quallity.
For the run time I get, I am pleased with the product - DCD771. But short battery life and big sticker shock on replacement batteries.
I canot reccomend this product for anyone to purchase.

NO FUEL GAUGE: Very lightweight and low capacity
Uses the standard DEWALT 20V MAX battery interface, so just as easy to use. Battery case is well-constructed and can take everyday wear and tear, but the capacity is very low (~20" deep, 1" diameter hole in fresh pine with a DCD708 before the battery gives out). If weight isn't a concern, go for larger batteries, especially if you plan on getting larger tools (cordless circular saw, etc.)
