Was a framer back in day and now do smaller side projects (framing and trim carpentry) and this is perfect for that. Would probably spend the extra on a custom leather rig or Badger set if I was still framing everyday. I like my tape and speed square on the left which these bags work well for. I added a Klein dump pouch back left and the diamondback gun loop back right. Only thing I would change is a better pencil holder spots. Right side front loop works perfect for my Pica and sharpie though so it’s not a big deal. I got the suspenders but since I never had them back in day I immediately realized they are too restrictive for me. I think this is just personal preference though so if you like suspenders they might work for you. Overall very happy with these bags.

In love with quality and pockets but way too big
I am a small women (29"-30" waist with man pants) and I have a really hard time finding construction accessories or clothes that fits my size. I am building our house along with my husband and also doing a lot of old furniture flips so I needed a tool rig that has a lot of pockets and that is durable to carry all my tools around. I really liked this tool rig because of all of its features, but the padded belt is waaaaaaaaay too big for me. Luckily it is removable so I decided to buy it anyway and just use the leather belt. Then again, luckily the belt fits me with the last holes! Phew. It is not quite as comfortable as with the padded one but still ok for me. So, in general, I really love this tool rig. It contains a lot and has a lot of pockets to keep all my essential tools organized. It is of nice quality leather that seems sturdy and durable but yet still supple enough. The only downside is the size, I don't know if it should be more adjustable or another size option maybe, but I'm definitely not the only one who would be too small for this. Thus the 4 stars instead of 5.

One of the best tool belts I’ve owned.
This tool belt is really comfortable than the prior ones I owned, I love the belt tape holder as well as the back support belt for extra safety, I just ordered the D suspenders, I can’t wait to try those on.

Good bags, quality leather. But not made for 32"
Good bags, quality leather. But not made for 32" waist. I cant get belt tight enough. Does not have a hood box cutter pocket. Could also use a speed square pocket. Change a few things and could be a really nice belt.

Rugged belt with leather style!
I’m a bigger guy and the belt fit great. The heavy duty leather made the pockets hold shape and the wide belt held the hammer, drill, and nail pouches without an issue at all. Lots of room for storage

GREAT Tool Rig! My favorite by a long shot!
I work in low voltage, but it's a lot of light construction as well. I also got this just in time to start the construction on our new huge deck, so I've got to use it in both framing, and job site conditions and I'm pleased all around with it!
The belt and padding are EXTREMELY comfortable, even on those 95 degree days working in new construction with no AC and no air flow. It rides supremely comfortable and when I take a break I don't feel the need to take it off to rest from wearing it. I just keep it on and toss a Gatorate in the pockets. It really IS supremely comfortable.
As far as quality of the components, I'm very pleased. The leather is top quality, sturdy without being too rigid, and supple enough that you can sit down without everything feeling like it has to squish up around you. It just rides well. Everything from the buckles to the belt itself, to the pouches feels like it's very well made. I don't see this ever giving me an issue. I've had other belts and pouches in the past and individual components wear out quickly. Not a problem with this tool rig!
Adjustability - it comes fully rigged, but the belt slides through and each component can be adjusted to your fit. Each pouch can be removed, replaced, or moved around a good amount. The padded belt does have some hard points on it that will prevent slippage and confine you a little bit when it comes to placement, but that's a good thing. The left and right pouches can adjust forward or back 4-6 inches, but they can't slide ALL the way around without re-rigging the belt. I happen to like that though.
There are also hard points on the padded belt for connecting a chest rig or shoulder straps if you prefer.
One of my favorite features that I didn't know I'd like are the handles on the pouches. They don't get in the way when you're using it but they make it really nice to just grab and lift the rig if it rides down too far. They're also a convenient way to carry the rig without tools falling out. It's a very thorough design throughout the product!
It's got more pockets and pouches than you'll notice at first. I didn't realize for a few weeks that there are interior sections in some of the pockets for stowing a screw driver, pliers, etc. I just didn't know they were there, but they're useful for electrical work which is nice in a framing-styled rig!
The pouches have high pockets on the inside close to your hips that I personally find to be GREAT for holding a cell phone. Plenty of room but they keep your expensive phone away from other tools - a huge improvement over other pouches I've had.
If I HAD to find any negatives, I guess the only thing I'd caution someone against is the length of the belt. I'm a 38 waist, so the padded belt rides very comfortable for me. I have to slide the belt closer to the left side (rather than centering the rig on the belt) to get it to close tight enough around my waist. That's fine and you get used to it in a few days and you can't lose that feature without the pouches sliding around, so it's a good thing. But if you're smaller than about a 34" waist, you might find it bunches up. Most of us aren't - so it's designed for a bigger guy - 230 pounds and above I'd say. But anywhere from a 34 to a much larger waist could wear it very comfortably all day!

Great bags for daily Carpentry!
Very nice set of bags. Leather is strong but not too stiff. Belt is comfortable and doesn't dig in. Pockets are different than my other bags so took some getting used to where my tools are. This rig is not too heavy. Will definitely get another set of these bags when I need them.

Well built for the price.
We run framing crews in central South Dakota, so far this belt has done well. Its a little small if you are used to a belt that holds everything. Its well built and has been designed with a builder in mind. Its not an Occidental but for the price its a good buy.
