I bought this device and it worked once. Went online to try and find some help. They told me to change batteries. Looked up reviews and I have had the same issues everyone else has. Red stop sign. I had better luck with the Harbor Freight measurer. My advice is do not buy one again.

Same problem everybody else is having!
This item has bad issues! If you plan on using this often, good luck. It no longer measures! New batteries don’t help! Factory reset don’t help! All I can say is it’s worthless!

I see the reviews showing fatal errors, but even after riding around in my laptop bag for two years I have not had any issues. I don't use it all that often, and when I do it may only be for a hour or so. Battery life has been excellent, at most I'm on my second set but think they're original. I found the app to be pretty fantastic after about 15 minutes of learning it and the measuring tool. I love being able to snap a photo then the app and tool add the dimension. I recently discovered the "addition" feature; from a convenient height I can measure to the ceiling, then flip around and measure to the floor, and the tool will add the dimensions. When/if this breaks I'll buy another as similar to it as is available at the time!

Typical top Bosch quality product - but
This is another top quality Bosch tool - very good design, except that I just discovered that you cannot install the belt clip and then try to mount on a tripod, as the two use the same and only hole on the back side of the unit, so you can only do one or the other. Seems odd they didn't provide another hole so you could do both. Kind of a hassle to remove the belt-clip when you want to put it on the tripod, then have to reinstall the belt clip when you no longer need to use it with a tripod.
And worst of all is that installing the belt clip makes it impossible to open the battery compartment without removing the belt clip. Not sure how this works if you have the Li-on battery option back?
Really wish that Bosch would have thought about this belt clip attachment idea a bit more thoughtfully.

This is my second Bosch Laser Measure and I am loving it just as much as the first. There are so many features packed into it, especially if you use the Bosch MeasureOn app and connect via Bluetooth to your Blaze. Create accurate layouts of rooms or buildings with measurements and all the details you need. Plus the accuracy is spot on. If you need the ability to quickly and accurately measure a space then look no further. Well done Bosch

Like The New Features, Connectivity & App
Just got in the mail a couple of days ago. I am upgrading from a GLM42…Had to order cause this higher end cannot be found in DIY stores… love that I can use my phone to measure remotely via Bluetooth… you know when you get in some tight spots you can just set it, turn on the laser and measure from your phone.
