Don't ever buy it or waist your money on it
Expensive repair
I use it few times i changed a batterys ones on it
Red light pop up with a blank screen

flex clamp does not do DC amps
sucks need to make a product that does DC amps also with the flex amp contraption

My most treasured possession
I love my Fluke 381 more than my own children (kidding, I don't have kids. I use it daily in my work on boats, both for AC and DC. I never doubt the readings, and the remote display makes me the coolest tech on the dock. It gets borrowed often because it's so awesome. I can clamp the starter or alternator in the engine room, and take the remote display to the helm (except on the REALLY big boats). What usually takes two technicians, I can accomplish myself with my Fluke 381. My Fluke should get it's own paycheck.
My only complaint is I really wish the iFlex did DC amperage. And I wish it were a little smaller. Unlike some other reviewers, I must be lucky because I don't think the battery consumption is bad. I replace them maybe every 2 months, and I use it on a daily basis.

Another awesome Fluke Product
I really enjoy using this clamp meter. I am in the industrial field and use the iflex to calibrate compressors. Without the iFlex, it would be impossible to get a meter around the motor leads inside the motor peckerhead.

Better than having an apprentice!
Way easier than yelling measurements at one another from across the room.
No need to tie up another guy to watch the meter while you make changes.
No need to walk back and forth to check your measurements.
The wireless screen has been invaluable on the work site and at home.
It's not just the convenience, but also the safety factor especially when working on suspect circuits. This is even more true in my industry working transmission protection equipment.

381 works great 1 year later
the 381 remote clamp is the way to go. I have been using it on and off for over
a year now with NO problems (I still am using original batteries) so I guess fluke
fixed the power problem from 2 years ago. Great meter !! for ac and dc.

I have several Fluke meters. This new 381 meter is very safe to use especially around bus bars. I use this meter for all my electrical testing now. The remote function is a great feature. Overall a great meter.
