The MILWAUKEE® M18 FUEL™ Angler™ 240' Steel Pulling Fish Tape Kit is part of the world's first battery powered fish tape solution. The fish tape wire puller’s AUTO-RUN™ Powered Feed and Retract eliminates manual pulling tools for less user fatigue and automatically reels the tape back into the drum for a cleaner jobsite. The electric fish tape wire puller features a POWERSTATE™ Brushless Motor that provides the ability to pull wire through a 200' run with 360° degrees of bends. This new battery powered fish tape puller is more efficient with an automatic feed that pushes through bends faster for maximum jobsite efficiency. The M18 FUEL™ ANGLER™ Pulling Fish Tape Powered Base is powered by the M18™ REDLITHIUM™ battery pack and is compatible with 5 anti-binding steel and non-conductive drums to tackle any situation. The automatic wire puller is equipped with REDLINK PLUS™ Intelligence to ensure maximum performance and protection from overload. Great Idea. Poor engineering.
Purchase this item about a year ago. Used it 2 times and the fish tape no longer works. This item is junk. Waste of $600.

Disappointed!
Nice concept and was excited to use it. But like some reviews at 50m the fish tape gets stuck and bind. Have a few things of Milwaukee products and was happy. This product not so much

Fish tape
Probably one of the worst tools I have ever purchased after the first three pulls this tool broke inside the spool and of course there is no warranty on the spools the tape is made of a soft metal and bends way to easy if given the choice in the future it will not be Milwaukee

Steel fish tape kinks internally
I purchased a 240 foot steel and the 120 foot nonconductive fish tape. The steel works really well up to About 50 feet and then it internally binds up. The only way to fix it is to pull apart 40 screws to access the kink inside in which you have to cut it off. My 240 foot steel fish tape Is now about 60 foot long. and the 120 foot nonconductive fish tape has no structural strength and is hard to push through any significant bends, but tends to run better than the steel. However, the motor base runs really well and it pulls really hard. I would not recommend purchasing this product unless Milwaukee comes out with a new cartridge design.

Do not use this to power feed into conduits.
Looked great and the promotional videos got me excited to give it a try. First unit w/ 240' steel cassette was a dud out of the box. Not only where the two batteries dead and unable to be charged the tape bound up after 60 or so feet. We could not get it to go past and then winding it back up was an issue. After we returned the unit and got another with good batteries the angler lasted for approx 7 pulls before we could not get it to go out past 20'. I am now trying to get this warrantied and I am told its because I am powering through 90's. If anything we stop once we reach one but by then I think the damage is done. This unit needs an overhaul. Out of all our milwaukee tools this one is a dud and I dont want to spend anymore time or money on it.

I would love to say I will buy again.
I have the 240’ steel drum, worked awesome for awhile, but now it only goes out about 50’. Seems like a common issue. What is the fix?

Wont unwind
I had high hopes for this Fish Tape but after 20 or so uses it wont unwind past about 50'
This seems to be a very common issue.
I expected far more from Milwaukee

Works great.
Works good. Does have some weight to it with the 200 ft steel.
