I purchased this set to replace another top tier brand puller set that was loaned out but never returned.
Looking at this GW Slide hammer set it is almost identical but might have a little heavier hammer to slide. This will defiantly get the job done. Sturdy case included.

Nice compact slide hammer puller kit all in a box
Slide Hammer looks and feels very well made and of quality materials. Comes with all sorts of attachments for different jobs. Had to add a chain attachment to mine for pulling CV joints. simple and easy to use even for inexperienced mechanics.

Slide hammer puller kit!!
Wonderful product! I have used it multiple time! It is very easy to use! The kit comes with multiple different types of pullers. Very easy to set up and take down! The blow molded case is wonderful keeps everything in one place so you don’t loose anything and makes it versatile to be able to use on the go!

Great kit for DIY or a Pro
A very High-quality kit that includes a lot of pulling attachments and devices for a wide range of uses.
Pros:
-Quality case holds everything in kit without pieces falling looser and bouncing around inside.
-Handy reference card shows contents of kit.
-All components are very well-made and feel solid.
-Versatile components can be configured for different pulling uses
-Parts coated in light oil to prevent rust.
Cons:
-Reference card identifies parts, but does not show or explain what each part is.
-Not much else!
Bottom line: An excellent kit that includes components that may not see use, but it's good to know they are there. Quality seems professional grade and would be at home in a D.I.Y.'s or professional garage.

GearWrench - Slide Hammer Puller Kit 41700D
The GearWrench Slide Hammer Kit is exactly what I needed to pull out a rusted wheel hub. What I liked about the Slide Hammer is that the flange was easy to bolt onto the wheel studs and hammer the wheel hub out of the rusted knuckel. The 10 pound weight slid efortesly and provided a direct controled hammer\pull to the part. Using this tool prevented any other part of the car from being inadvertantly damaged.

This is an Amazing SET!! It has everything in it that you could need to remove all kinds of things. The slide hammer is beefed up for those hard to move stubborn wheel bearings! You can tell that this will last for a long time. Thanks Gearwrench for making another outstanding product.

Great addition to your toolbox
The blow-molded case is great because of how they ergonomically fit everything in there. It is thin enough (4" x 24" x 9") that it will fit in a standard double deep drawer in your toolbox. The puller is 5/8" - 18 thread pitch so it is common with other pullers. Comes with everything you need to pull bearings, seals, harmonic balancers, and anything else you can think of. One great thing about their seal puller is the fact that the insert is hex shaped to fit the head of the sheet metal screw so it holds it while screwing into the can seal. The slide of it is 5 pounds exact and has a step down for a good feel with your hand and on one end it tapered to seal against the end of the travel. Definitely a great addition to your collection if you are a mechanic by trade or for at home. Never had any problems with GearWrench products.

Very happy with this tool
Its a quality product, have used it to remove a rusted hub bearing, the hammer has enough weight to get the job done. Also like the case, it takes up a bit of room in the box, but thats to be expected with slide hammers. The tool does the job well and seems like it is a good enough quality to hold up for years to come.

A necessity in the northeast. I got this for professional use, have only been able to use it a couple times since getting it but its definitely professional quality at a DIYers price point. Overall great kit.

Amazing Quality. I have used this slide hammer a few times from changing hubs, harmonic balancers to working on riding lawnmowers. I am very impressed with how it's held up. Just make sure to greases the threads and to make sure you have all your parts nice and snug before you get to it.
