Delivering as much as 2,300 unit watts out, this grinder produces up to 30% more torque than the DCG418 60V MAX* Grinder**. With a max output of 3 HP, you can power through heavy-duty grinding jobs with ease using its no-load speed of up to 6,500 RPM. Built with user protection in mind, the Perform and Protect grinder's kickback brake engages to rapidly shut the grinder off when a stall, bind-up, or pinch is detected.

Lightweight and Longer run time than Milwaukee and Makita 7 in grinders.
This is the best Dewalt grinder! The power to weight ratio is bar none. This has a 7in blade capacity at 8lbs. The DCG460 is the 7-9 in grinder and weighs 18.5 lbs, More than double the weight. I also had a Makita 9in 40v that was heavy too. Both of the others could only be operated with both hands. This is light enough to maneuver with one. Half the weight of Milwaukee 7- 9 grindser as well. Best part about having the flexvolt is the battery run time. All the other brands eat the big batteries under 6 minutes, 3-4 minutes under heavy load.
