Ergonomic. Extremely tough. Tried and true
This is the best utility knife on the market. It's simple and reliable. How this is only rated at 3 stars is mind boggling. I read through the reviews and one gave it a 2 star rating saying "difficult to take out of packaging" y'all need to understand how to review a product and complaints like that could lead to the discontinuing of a great product. And if removing packaging is that hard for you maybe you shouldn't be using a utility knife. I have 3 of these and all of them have had a really hard life. I'm surprised my first one isn't broken but it keeps doing exactly what I need it to and things I should use a hammer for. I understand that with mass production that their could be a few bad ones in the world. But that goes for everything. DeWalt get this product back on the shelves at home Depot please

Cannot Replace Blade
I cannot replace the blade at all. Where are the instructions? Where is the blade replacement button?

Junk
Bought within a week during apartment move. Great hardware on the outside and once one attempts to replace blade it becomes junk in your hand! What a poor design.

ugh!
I bought this because it felt substantial and is American-made. Difficult to get out of the packaging and zero instructions for such a complicated (shouldn't be) knife. I came onto the website to find out if the blade is already in it (it isn't) and how to get the blade in. I had to take it apart...

Safety Hazard
This product is a true safety hazard. The blade will not stay locked in the retracted positon only in the open position. If you clip the balde on your belt, the blade comes out offering the potential to cut your fingers or hand sseverly when reaching for it.

Unsafe loading a blade
Real hard to change the blade seems a little dangerous to be pushing in a sharp blade and I have to go on YouTube to learn how to load a blade

Impractical and unsafe.
Unlike others, I was able to load the blade and lock it. My problem is that the gold button on the slider mechanism doesn’t engage with anything. If I tip the knife forward, the blade emerges. Tip it back and the blade disappears. Since the slider doesn’t lock, it’s impossible to use the knife without keeping your thumb on the slider.

Poorly implemented
Poorly implemented. I had to use pliers to shove in blade to get it to click on, while I held the ineffectual side button down. Works well for others, so I guess is a quality control issue

the people leaving 1 star reviews
are they dumb? ive had this knife for years and never had a problem until someone stole it.
the guy that though he had to take the knife apart to get it out of the package, all he had to do was tear the cardboard packaging and slip it out of the knife.
the people that are saying the blade doesnt retract after changing the blade, its because the loaded the blade wrong. there are 2 notches on the blades, both need to be in the knife. you hold down the side button and push the razor all the way back. if it wont close youre only on 1 notch

Won't retract
Change the blade and it won't retract all the way- followed the instructions but still can't get it to retract all the way- not worth the extra $$
