DeWalt DWHT83193 12" Large Trigger Clamp

Light,
stable for a plastic clamp,
could have more holding power but if that’s what you need get dewalts bigger version of the same thing for more$$

I bought one one of these brand new and immediately out of the packaging, the trigger to tighten was loose and not secured. Returned it, got another, and on the second one the release trigger just does not work at all. It is worthless.

I don't plan on ever buying a DeWalt product again.

I have a model DWHT83193 large 12" trigger clamp and I have misplaced the fixed jaw end of it.
It is possible to get replacement pieces for these Dewalt clamps?

I have 4 sets of these clamps and they are pretty decent. The clamp force is really good, though not as much as a clamp with a hand twist handle. I ended up using my clamps in framing construction and they worked for the job, the best part is that the trigger makes them really quick to use along with a decency amount of clamping force. Now, I suspect this is inherent with the design regardless of the brand, but in a dusty environment dirt builds up in the internal mechanisms that ride along the bar such that they eventually will not be able to hold any clamping force. I’ve had to take all of my clamps apart, clean and then apply dry lube to return them back to their original condition after 6 months of use. However, my one real issue is that Dewalt does not make and replacement parts for any of their trigger clamps. On one of the clamps, the non-adjustable jaw’s internal locking block sheared off such that it can’t lock onto the bar and renders the entire clamp useless.

I've had two of these clamps for about 10 years. They work fine but the pads have shattered. DeWalt does not offer replacements which is very disappointing.

Built a wall unit bookcase for my daughter and son-in-law last week. Needed clamps to hold my lines where the individual units mated up and to bring the units together. I bought these clamps thinking I would only need enough help to align the units. Instead some of the wood needed to be drawn together with quite a bit of compression as I attached each unit to the wall and the previous unit. These clamps responded to the torque needed to maintain the lines. There were impressive.

I just purchased a pair of these clamps, and I am really pleased. The grips fit perfect in my hand and can be released with one handed. They are very sturdy and seem to be constructed very well. Happy with my purchase and I recommend them.
