GearWrench 80944 232 Pc. Mechanics Tool Set in 3 Drawer Storage Box

I was looking for a tool kit that was portable enough to carry in my truck but also include enough tools that I wouldn’t have to carry multiple, well this fit the bill just right! I’ve not had the pleasure of testing out every piece in the set but from what I have used they are top notch and should hold up to all my needs!

Gearwrench has a few sets, it's hard to figure out which is best. I really like this set. It seems to be one of the most comprehensive 1/4" and 3/8" drive sets I seen. I immediately took this to my barn to disassemble an old tractor to get at the fuel tank and was interested to see what I might need that wasn't included.
When you open the top, you'll find the ratchet combination wrenches. I used a couple, but I can't attest to their strength. I broke the ratchets on a couple years ago, so I don't use the ratchet end to break stuck bolts anymore. They were handy for the removal of some blind nuts. I also like that the wrenches are recessed sufficiently to provide a flat surface for your beverage of choice.
The drawers are locked in securely with flaps on either side that snap tightly. The drawers are best used by removing completely. I took the whole drawer to the work, helping to eliminate the back and forth to the tool chest.
The socket sets are complete in standard and deep, SAE and metric. They're ridged on the tool end for spinning loose nuts or bolts. I especially appreciate that all of the metrics are included. I've been caught short once or twice when my tractor required a size that apparently isn't used in automobiles so higher numbers were even only.

There's a great selection of 1/4 and 3/8 drive bit drivers for torx and hex bits. You'll find these handy on a lot of automobiles now. A set of bits and nut runners with 1/4 hex can be used with the 1/4 hex drive handle or a drill for some of the lighter interior work.
With all of the bits, you might not reach for the Allen keys often, but when you need one, they are included also.

Very happy with this set replace all of my old set. This set is 100% better than my old set. The only thing that I would want is for the tool to lock in the trays. But the draws fit in my big tool box so it dont if they lock in the trays.

Very nice tool set with a lot of options in it. Works very well to stock a garage or keep as a kit in your vehicle. The torx bit selection is great to help a lot with newer vehicles. The 90 tooth ratchets feel very quality and there is a great selection of ratchet wrenches.

All of the components are of very good quality as you would expect Gearwrench. The screwdriver with the interchangeable bits provided the control needed needed to tighten those pesky hose clamps without slipping and when really cinching down on screws the grip from the handle was really good. The ratcheting wrenches, hex keys and sockets were really good as well. The real stars in this kit are the 90 tooth ratchets. The operation was smooth and the drag when ratcheting was very light. The fit and finish on everything was very good. This is great all around general tool kit to keep around the house.

Received this tool box a two weeks ago but was to ill to use it until today. Helped a friend with a quick brake job and this kit had everything i needed plus. As typical the ratchets are smooth and comfortable. The ratcheting wrenches feel great in your hand. Really a quality set. My only concern is the durability of the blow mold box. Other than that top notch.

Really nice complete set. I like to work on my cars. It’s much easier for me to take the set close to the car. Saves me time going back and forth looking for things. Also doubles as my travel box. Take it with me on road trips, camping and etc. The complete set of wrenches is a nice bonus.

A awesome set for beginner and professional alike. Ratchets are smooth and a terrific assortment of deep and shallow sockets. Sizes that you rarely ever see in other sets. You won’t have to go back and spend money for sizes you didn’t get in order to complete your set. Wrenches that have a quality and feel that you would expect to pay much more for. These Tools are clearly marked by size. Finish is 2nd too none. I would put these up against any tools on the market.
