DeWalt DCF921B ATOMIC 20V MAX* 1/2 in. Cordless Impact Wrench with Hog Ring Anvil (Tool Only)

Got this not even a year ago and it's great when it wants to work. Light and mode toggle will work but won't engage unless I spend 5 mins changing batteries for it to start up.

Not at all what I expected. I've had a1/4" chuck impact for approx 10 years that has fallen from 2 stories up and still worked and continues to work fine. I use this for automotive work and expected better quality. 90% of my tools are DeWalt because they are touch but I think I'll have to find another brand for my 1/2" impacts just as I have to with my cordless nailers.

Love the convenience, power and compact design. Disappointed hog ring fell off & couldn't be found outside of 90 day return to retailer warranty. Don't want to drive 50 miles to repair facility to drop off then return month or 2 later for $10 part. Don't want to send it in & be without tool for 2 months or more. Could not get Dewalt Customer Service to send me the part. Will have to purchase it to repair.

I bought this tool in need of a strong compact stubby for my work in an automotive shop. I bought this tool because I was so impressed by my recently purchased Dcf900, dewalts new 1/2 in high torque. When I first used the tool I loved how perfect it fit in the hand, also the three led lights on the front. Being able to control the brightness of the leds and having 4 different torque settings makes all jobs easier. Probably my favorite setting is the precision torque mode allowing me not to completely back off nuts/bolts but also not destroying threads but screwing them all the way on. I was blow away by the performance of the tool zipping off rusty caliper bolts (high in the rust belt of the northeast) and getting in to hard to reach places. Amazing tool no complaints yet after 6 months of heavy use.

Bought it a year ago for automotive repairs used it 3 times and found it wouldn't work changed batteries and found something up with trigger,
Looked online for new part but no luck.
now it sits in cabinet not being used very disappointed.

I am not sure all the rave reviews, but unless you do some light automotive work, this does not have enough power to really do the job. My DEWALT 20V MAX XR Impact Wrench Kit, Brushless, High Torque, Hog Ring Anvil, 1/2-Inch, DCF899HB) has way more power, not compact by any means, but 1200 ft. lbs. break away and 700 ft. lbs. of max torque. It is way better for stubborn tractor lug nuts. Yes, it is not for the driving small screws, but you can drive a 12 inch long lag bolt with ease, and still have power left.

Super easy to use. Extra power without using a ratchet. Love that it works with my other dewalt batteries and don’t need to have an extra charger laying around. Bought myself some deep impact sockets and this will be my new go to for any auto repairs and anytime I would’ve previously used a socket and ratchet. No job too big or small for this tiny but mighty wonder

Very pleased with this impact wrench. At first I did not think it would be as strong as the full size but it was able to remove the hydraulic cover for my excavator with ease! Compact size without sacrificing power.

This impact wrench really packs a punch in a very small package, with a 6ah flexvolt battery it drove a 9" long 1/2" lag bolt into glue lam with no pilot! It has a great connection ring that is very sturdy and has held up to quite a few bit changes. Its been dropped, kicked, rained on, and still has the same power as when I got it! Very very impressed

This worked out perfectly. I needed to get some exhaust manifold bolts off in a tight space and this worked out perfectly. It's so compact I could get it right where I needed it and it had enough power to break them free. These bolts are known for snapping off and that was not the issue here. Having a bright light is a great feature as well.
