Milwaukee 2470-20 Description

Cutting faster, cleaner and closer than traditional methods, the new M12 Cordless PVC Shear utilizes a super sharp stainless steel blade for burr-free cuts, slices through 2” PVC in as fast as 3 seconds, and offers an offset blade to cut PVC mounted to a stud or close to a wall. Powered by the Milwaukee M12 Lithium-Ion battery (sold separately), the new PVC Shear is able to cut over 200 times on a single charge.

Plastic pipe shears
Awesome tool perfect cut every time and cuts plumbing time in half if not more I love it and blade change is really easy if ya mess up and hit a rock like I did

12v PVC Cutter
Nice tool. Wish it would retract automatically instead of having to flip switch for open/close. Gives a lot better cut than sawzall or circular saw.

This tool is awesome for cutting 2” and 1.5” sch 40 pvc. Better cut than a sawzall and way faster than running to the miter saw for every cut. Residential plumber.

Works well but some issues
Works well for new construction and remodeling. It has issues cutting through 2”pvc with the standard 12 volt battery. I would recommend investing in a 12 volt fat pack. Also old pipe and used pipe that your cutting into tends to shatter. Otherwise it’s a good lightweight time saving tool tha cuts clean and straight.

Always have had Dewalt. Bought this cutter and batteries with high expectations for switching into the Milwaukee platform as competitors are typically behind Milwaukee in the HVAC field. It did not cut 2” PVC, so I returned it for #2, same issue, so I called customer support and was recommended to try a 3rd tool from a different store. The third tool has the same issue, so I called again and basically was told I’m not using it properly along with the others that have tried with the same results. It worked fine up to 1 1/4” pipe. Does not cut 2” like advertised!
