Bosch GDS18V-740N Profactor 18V 1/2 Impact Wrench w/ Friction Ring (bare tool)

I’ve owned this tool for almost 2 years now. Using it on the automotive professional level. I haven’t had a single bolt that this thing couldn’t get off. Hop on Amazon and grab some Bosch impact rated sockets to pair this with.

My only issue is that my anvil retaining ring is now worn down pretty good. My sockets don’t like to stay on the anvil. If I could find a part number for the retaining ring, easy fix.

To borrow from the Torque Test Channel's parlance, this impact wrench makes the beans.
I got this to handle 1/2" socket jobs and this impact wrench can get it done. Had a GDX18V-1600 for accepting 1/2" impact sockets that was incapable of out torqueing my little 25618.
Found a good deal on this 740N and i couldn't be more pleased that stubborn lug nuts, mower blade bolts, etc come off even on the low setting. I'm not sure I'll be able to find any tasks that will need more uggas than this thing can dugga.

This is still pretty new to me, so i can't speak to long term longevity, but i'm pretty optimistic.

This Bosch impact was the most powerful one at Menards. I bought it for auto repair. After just 5 uses this impact wrench tried to twist my hand off. Something broke internally causing the impact to stop functioning properly. It now barely spins and sounds as if there is something rolling around inside.Even if it is repaired or replaced by warranty it is still a joke of a tool. Stick with air tools!

Have been wanting to buy this after seeing it beat out everything on the Torque Test Channel on Youtube. They have been having a sale at Lowes where if you buy this unit you receive 2 free 8ah batteries(requires this battery or the 12ah to get best performance). This unit has outperformed my air impact and my other brand cordless impact wrench. I have been expanding my Bosch lineup and have been nothing but pleased. If you are looking for a High Torque Quality Impace Wrench, look no further!

As someone who is accustomed to traditional air-powered impact wrenches, I was hesitant in moving over to a cordless model; however, after spending some time with the Bosch PROFACTOR 18V 1/2 In. Impact Wrench, I wish I had switched over earlier!

First and foremost, not being shackled to an air-hose is absolutely amazing! It feels great to zip around the garage without dragging the hose around. In regards to overall function, this thing is an absolute beast! With up to 740 Ft.-Lbs. fastening torque and 1,180 Ft.-Lbs. breakaway torque, I haven't met a bolt that it doesn't like. The wrench feels great in your hand, and, although it's a bit heavy, the ergonomic design makes up for it. The battery is incredibly resilient and holds up well - even under heavy use. When it's time for a charge, the recharge rate is incredibly fast, and you're back up and running in no time. In terms of variable settings, this wrench offers controlled power output, with three speed/torque settings - all with a slick interface.

So far, I love this wrench! I'm never going back to the air-compressor, that's for sure!

I am very impressed with this impact gun, it is lightweight and has tons of power. I have been using it for a few weeks I love thatis has the ability to be used in different power modes which has made it great for different projects. Its been useful for taking off lug nuts and break loose rusty nuts and bolts.
