I stand behind my first review do not buy
This is my second review of this camera. I still do not recommend this product. Poorly made product. After my first review Milwaukee contacted me and sent me out a new camera. Which has worked ok the camera does so a picture I will give it that. But if you want this product to keep working like it should I would advise you to never remove the screen from the tool. Cause once you do you can forget about the camera ever working again once you reconnect the screen back to the tool. Now the only way it will work is if the screen is not attached. Which when the screen is not attached you have to keep the two items less than 1 foot apart if you want just an ok picture that has a bunch of static lines running through it. Seeing how since my last review was 2 years ago and I have only used this thing 10 times. I would say it is not worth the price tag. Especially since once the screen runs out of battery it will be useless as connecting it to the tool not only does it not give it picture it does not charge the battery in the screen so I am sure the next time I go to use it for a home repair and I need to look in one of my walls I won’t be able to cause the battery will be depleted on the screen. Making this a 10 foot snake light.

Great idea, poor implementation.
I purchased this originally to inspect an evaporative condenser on an ice plant due to limited access around the equipment. I have since used it for engine work, vessel hull inspections as well as plumbing inspections.

I like the idea of a removeable screen as most of what I am using this for had access restrictions. I find that the screen cannot keep a reliable connection to the handle/handset when removed, the screen flickers and cuts in and out.

Due to the unreliability of the connection between the screen and the handset I would recommend purchasing either a camera without the removable screen or one of the Bluetooth cameras that can connect to a phone. Both options are less expensive and from what I have seen are more reliable.

Great camera kit!!
The M12 M-Spector Flex replaced my cheaper M12 M-Spector and I have been happy with making the switch. With a 12.5 mm diameter and shortened camera head, you get greater access in tight spaces and it is easier to maneuver the camera. With a 3.5 inch wireless LCD screen, you can remove the LCD screen from the tool so that you can adapt your view of the screen to whatever position you are working in. With this camera you are able to capture pictures or videos with audio and store them on an SD card which comes with the kit. Transfer of the data is done through a USB cable which is also provided. The tool allows for you to digitally rotate and zoom images that you capture using the camera. The tool has a trigger on the handle to easily capture images and also a dial to micro adjust the light on the camera.

The features on this camera are pretty cool. The removable screen has helped in being able to comfortable view what the camera is picking up. I find that when I use the camera outside in the sun, it's hard to see the images on the screen so being able to remove the screen and view it in the shade is a huge plus. I mostly have used the camera to look behind drywall without having to punch a huge hole in the wall. I typically drill a 3/8 hole in the wall to insert the camera. This camera has been great for mold remediation jobs that I have worked on, really helps to find the source of the problem. The camera also works great to look inside of drains or other types of piping.

I would like some upgrades to this tool if Milwaukee comes out with a newer model. I think having a touch screen would be a huge added feature, especially since most technology these days are all touch screen. I find myself more often then not trying to navigate through the pictures by touching the screen. Also all deceives that I use are apple products and my iPad has no USB port or SD card port to be able to transfer data, a Bluetooth feature would be an awesome upgrade.

Overall the tool works great the use that I have for it.

Nice idea, not very well thought out
Right up front, I own a lot of Milwaukee tools and love most of them. Unfortunately this is not one of those.

I have had this unit for a couple of years now and have to say that even though it was a great idea the implementation was not handled well.

The short and simple:
The camera resolution leaves a lot to be desired. Even when it was new the resolution was below the other units that I used and as others have mentioned the LED washes out the image (with no way to dim the LED).
The display can be separated from the handle, which was the main feature that set this apart from the other cameras I was looking at. Unfortunately the display only seems to charge from the handle when the unit is turned on. Several times I have pulled this out and discovered the battery in the display is dead (so it cannot be separated).

Even today the unit is extremely overpriced. There are better options out there that only cost a fraction of this.

Expensive for what it is
640x480 is a terrible resolution and seeing detail isn't so easy.

I returned mine and got a cordless scope off Amazon that connects to cell phone and has 4k resolution. Granted 4k is a lot more than necessary but the cost was about 30$.

Be nice if this line was updated with a decent camera and a decent price

Fireplace inspection
I am a trainer/ service manager and periodically I have to inspect the insides of fireplaces. With the camera I can show installer and home owner. With the taping system I use that in case I get pulled into deposition or lawsuit.
