RIDGID 36848 Micro CA-150 Inspection Camera

The Micro CA-150 Inspection Camera really is a nice piece of equipment and very handy. It's easy to use and the controls are not cumbersome. My main issue lies with the camera lens itself. Since day one, this camera has had dust inside the lens that I can't get out. It irritated me so much that I returned it to the store and got a replacement. Within a couple of days that lens also had dust in it, but it wasn't as bad as the first camera. It's not great trying to diagnose a problem when you're trying to look around flecks of dust, or shaking the camera trying to get the dust to move to the edge so you can get a good look. I tried reaching out to stores and even Rigid at one point but no one could seem to provide me with a replacement lens or camera. It's so easy to use that I want to keep it, I just wish this dust issue would go away. If the dust issue were resolved I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

This camera works awesome for seeing inside of walls without destroying them and perfect for waste and overflows. I've even used it to find a deodorant can in a toilet.

My workplace bought this for inspections, of course. Eager to give it a try and popped in some rechargeable AAs and could not get the battery cartridge back in no matter which way I tried. The fit was so tight that the batterie compartment ended stuck within the handle. I had to remove the fasteners from the handle in order to remove the battery compartment. I'm assuming I will have to find batteries that fit but I believe most AA batteries are similar in size. Three stars because to be fair, I haven't used the product yet.

I bought this for drain and heater inspections to find crack or broken parts.

I bought this so I wouldn't need to tear huge holes in my drywall to find water leaks. It's worked very well and I use it for work when I need to look in to walls to find cables.
