Nice design with the large top that folds flat for easy storage and transport. That being said i had a 36" wrench on a 2" 90 that needed to be disassembled (no cheater used). The leg snaped the cast and sent me flying. I have never seen or heard of any Ridgid Tristand ever breaking.

Used twice and now it is a coffee mug stand. The clasp that connects the chain broke the second time I used this tool. I knew I should not go into using Milwaukee tools when it's not my normal buy in tool brand. Would not recommend this tool to anyone, unless you need a pricey coffee mug shop stand.

To start off. I was a strictly dewalt guy first. Then I became a plumber and all I can say is because of products like this and a few other. I am dewauke all day. I've worked quite a few different vises and this one hands down beats them all. It is worked hard every day and holds up no matter the condition.

To start, I am a Milwaukee fan boy amd have been since the V18 days. I have M12, M18, packout, hamd tools that are all red. This is a poorly designed tool that cuts corners to save money. I've now broken two of these from trying to take apart old work. I've pulled the chain through the cheap tab it's supposed to grab on and I've bent two support legs because they didn't use heavy wall tube.
I'm giving this two stars because it folds flat. That was a real problem with the Ridgid stand. Unfortunately Milwaukee fell well short of the Rigid in quality and dependability. Also, why do I have to spend an extra $100 bucks to get the lower shelf......come on folks!
Bottom line is Milwaukee failed miserably on this. Nothing but Heavy Duty, nope, nothing but trouble.

Love the tri-stand, hate the chain vise.
I purchased this product about 3 months ago along with the compact m18 pipe threader. Mostly I'm threading 3/4" & 1" sch80 cs pipe and rigid steel conduit. Rarely can I get more than a few threads and the chain vise is slipping. The material gets all scuffed up and I spend more time messing with the vise than I do threading. I don't want to go back to the rigid as I really do like the tri-stand, but the vise just isn't functional. I'd give the tri-stand a 4 out of 5, but the chain vise brings it down to a one.

I own and sell these Tripods. Great tool, Sturdy and well built. Had the grounding clamp broke due to usage but had replaced in short time by Milwaukee.

Yes I would buy this great tool
Works very well.. sturdy when cutting pipe, especially when using the Milwaukee band saw to make precision cuts in the field. Wish I had this 45 years ago ! Would have made life much easier for sure !

They need to revise this tool
First time I used this device it broke. Then I emailed Milwaukee several times with no response about getting it repaired. Talk to Milwaukee Rat said to bring it back to Home Depot. Home Depot won’t take it back to send it back certain near service center for me is a 2 Hour drive. I am very disappointed in this tool

would not recommend this tool until they redesign
I am a plumber. I use it for threading it on threading of larger pipe. Also use it for putting fittings on nipples. Used it one time and Brooke.
