Good visibility with the green line
Just bought this laser a week ago and love it. So far I only used it outside, it’s so easy to level the area you need to work with . Will add the extender for greater distance on sunny days

Where am I going to put it?
I’m not sure what Milwaukee expects its buyers to do with it when they’re not using it. I can see their drills, saws, etc. selling without a case, but something like this? Come on, guys. You can do better than this. Also, why wouldn’t you expect a buyer who spent more money on the laser with the plumb dots to desire the use of just the plumb dots? That should be a separate function altogether.

Great laser but needs a case option
I love this laser for lining up conduit or setting electrical boxes. Both the vertical, horizontal, and plumb bob beams work great and are visible at a respectable distance. Strong magnets too.
The only downfall is the inability to get a case, whether included or to buy separately. Like most people drawn to this I already have plenty of batteries and chargers. I shouldn't have to by more just for the case to be included. I'm a big Milwaukee fan but the lack of a case is a big let down for a precision tool.

Bought it for a munch of work renovating my home the self leveler seems to be working so far, I set the lock and it held position the first day. Then next day I set it to lock and rather than locking in the position it was in, it kicked the plumb as far clockwise as it could go.

Works great, but not a huge improvement
Commercial framing. Before I settled on this M12 laser, I purchased and returned the MKE USB plumb points laser, the cross laser, and a Bosch cross laser. And all worked great yet this M12 version was the most expensive one of the bunch and was the only one that came without a case. Very disappointed because my team is not gentle and it’s already been dropped twice in the first week of having it, where a case would have made a difference.

I use this level for my electrical business. I like the plumb dot for spotting pipes. The green laser is easy to see in most situations. It seems to be well built. I wish the physical size was a little smaller. Also if you could remove it from the base plate.
