DeWalt DCBL770X1 60 V MAX Handheld Blower

Used this blower sparingly for a little over a year, just blowing off driveway and sidewalk type usage, maybe 8 battery cycles and not more than 2 hours of total run time. I loved it, good power, decent run time, all the benefits of battery powered tool - unfortunately it just didn’t last, blowing and full speed and it just locked up and died - never to run again.

I bought this blower as a part of a 3 tool kit. I sent the first blower back because of a rough sounding motor and it was replaced. The second one developed the same issue within a few weeks. I paid to send it back and it was returned with a note that nothing was wrong. There was a direct short somewhere and the battery drew down in 5 min. A growling sound when running. Then it finally stopped. The weedeater was out of warranty for a short time and I had to buy a new gear on the motor. I have other DeWalt corded tools that have performed well, but I can’t say that for the battery tools. Guess, I go back to gas blower with all their issues!

I bought the L772X1 model in June 2022 as recommended by the dealer. Battery would not hold a charge. Replaced it August 2022 with L770X1. It too does not hold a charge. Dealer recommended Dewalt as a superior product so very disapointed

Just purchased and have only used a few times but is much more efficient and powerful than my older gas powered Echo.

I purchased in Sep 2017 to use up at a vacation home. I visit there a few times a year and use this tool very infrequently. A few months ago, it completely died. Did some troubleshooting and it’s dead. I pull the trigger, it seems to want to wind up momentarily, but dies. Now my decision is buy a bare tool or send in for repair for about the same price.

For comparison, my Ryobi 18v blower has been running strong for 10 years now at my primary residence in which I use weekly!
Disappointed!

Have used this extensively around the yard and have found it to be a very capable blower. Two things that keep it from 5 stars is It would be nice to have a shroud over the intake so it could be more easily switched to the left hand or perhaps if the intake were on the bottom. Also if there was a tighter concentrator, it would be nice.

I love the power. Batteries last a decent amount of time. I have had two batteries stop working, and Dewalt has replaced them both. Outstanding customer service.

We purchased this to blow leaves from the outside of our office building. Produces a great amount of force and you don’t have to smell like 2 stroke exhaust for the rest of the day. Fantastic alternative to traditional mix gas blowers.

This blower is very handy. I use it for cleaning around the house, in the garage, at the workshop, cleaning out the truck bed and work trailer. There’s nothing better to easily blow out dirt without a cord attached.
It’s the most powerful blower I’ve had and it’s weighted perfectly. Cutting down cleaning time means more time to work which means more money.. it’s a no brainer.

I had the 20V blower, was not impressed enough, moved up to the 60V, quite the improvement in air flow.
