DeWalt DCST925B 20V Brushed String Trimmer (Bare)

We bought this awhile back and when it worked it was amazing. I was able to use it a handful of times before it just stopped working. I’ll have a fully charged battery on it and the head only spins for a quick second and stops. It is worthless.

I bought a 20V DCST922 string trimmer less than a year ago worked great in 2023.
It worked like a champ yesterday 6/7/24 wiped it down, hung it in my shed, and placed the battery on the charger. Took it out 6/8/24 to finish up but it was deader than a door nail.
What's up? I thought it would be as good a the six other DeWalt tools I own for my business but this is disappointing.
Oh and the customer service request center is not working correctly. It requires my address but does not allow me to enter it. Slick. I bought this 2 weeks ago, and I'm glad I did, it's awesome

This first one worked for about a week & a half before it started smoking really bad & the smell of burning wires i stopped instantly. Took the battery out, put it to the side to cool off. Got ahold of the warranty had a 2nd trimmer sent to me & it lasted even less than the first one barely a day before it just wont turn on at all.

I have great luck with all my other dewalt tools no problems ever.

Purchased one on 08/03/2023 at Home Depot, on 05/07/2024 began to smoke and quit running. Now having to go to nearest service center that is over an hour away just to drop off just to see if can be repaired or have to be replaced. Now will have another trip just to go back if repaired or replaced.For me not the quality that of dewalt tools that I had come to expect after decades of using dewalt tools.

I've had this Dewalt DCST 925 trimmer for a year or so, trying to change string is a real pain. Strings keep breaking and going into the feeder. I had a Craftsman trimmer for years never had a problem with it. I Do NOT recommend this product.

I’ve owned this trimmer for 4 years, so far so good. I highly recommend using at least a 5ah XR battery with it, which will trim my yard (fully fenced small city lot) easily on one charge. Only issue I have with it is the loading of line could be easier, although once it’s in, this unit works awesome!

Ok I was not totally sure about battery powered weedeaters but I trust Dewalt so I bought it this thing blew my mind its a beast if I keep in on low and use the smallest battery there is I can do my whole back yard and front yard and if there are some tuff weeds just flip the switch to high and bam there gone in the blink of an eye

Had this trimmer for nearly 2 years. Used maybe a dozen times. During normal trimming usage, the motor started smoking and just stopped. Hoping warranty will cover repair but not expecting much given past experience with Dewalt service calls. May just order and try to replace the motor myself.
