I was the second mechanic in our shop to run this drill and the first one to run it free hand. I found it very controllable free hand. It was easy to make an accurate start because the speed control is wide range and the tool is predictable. Once started it was very powerful and made short work of the cuts. (4"holes thru 8" thick concrete wall including brick exterior) On the stand it runs as good as any core machine l have worked with. Batteries have a good run time. It is however, good to have a third bat to ensure no waiting for a charge during continuous operation. All in all the tool is a pleasure to operate.

Cheap handle, not for concrete walls.
I don't know why my experience with this drill was completely different than the other people on here. I bought it to drill six 4-inch holes through an 8 inch concrete wall. I thought that would be easy enough with all the great reviews on here. On the first hole, the front handle kept wiggling off and it turns out it is a plastic handle with a metal stud in it. Guess what? It stripped out. This is a $3,000 concrete drill with a cheap plastic handle. That's a crappy design for something that needs a lot of pressure on it to actually work. Second, without the stand, it is nearly impossible to put enough pressure on it to cut sideways through concrete. It took an entire battery to get through the first 4 inches of the wall and the second battery to get through the next 4 inches. So then I had to wait for the batteries to charge to drill the second hole. After 3 hours of drilling I had two holes drilled, so I packed up the saw and returned it. Without the stand, it's basically worthless in a concrete wall.

Recently just used to core 3” holes through 12” slab with m18 water supply attached. Was on average 5–7 minutes each hole. Extremely efficient product.

Best cordless core rig on the market
This core drill is great. For a cordless unit it can't be beat, the led level indicator is great when hand coring and the digital pressure gauge makes drilling with the stand hassle free. Pairing this tool with the switch tank water supply is a true cordless drilling set up.

Safest operation of a hand core drill I have found. 10+ years in the industry. Will be outfitting every van with one of these.

Most convenient way to core drill.
Being a one man team for most of my work, this tool totally compliments that style of work. Powerful batteries met the demand, of a easy operating drill function, let's you just how much to guide core bit , with adjustable pressure feeding water tank. Made each hole cut fast like through like butter !

Great drill for the right application
I believe that this core drill is a game changer for certain trades. Mostly plumbing or HVAC service. If you have to core less than 5 holes and they are 6" or less, this is your tool. The price is not easy to swallow, but you are paying for the convenience or not having to run a cord or in those special situations where you have no power. This is a great product to have in your arsenal of you run into those situations on a regular basis. My seasoned plumbers tried it onsite and the only negative thing they commented about was how touchy the clutch was. If the bit is slightly tilted while drilling and it contacts the side wall, clutch engages. Took some getting used to but they drilled about 20 holes with it and never had another issue.

We use it to Core through concrete main holes. It’s great because there is no electrical cords to deal with. It’s a little big and bulky but still can work with it.

Our company has purchased this MX FUEL kit and if core drilling is what you do for a living. I highly recommend this hand held core drill kit w/stand. Easily collapsible and easy to use. This is a great tool to have as a mechanical contractor.

Drilled a 3" and a 4" hole with no lag, battery seemed to have enough gas left for 2 more holes on 1 charge. No binding or arm twist when hitting re-bar, easy to set up and use.
