Milwaukee 48-22-1505 Description

The MILWAUKEE® FASTBACK™ 6in1 Folding Utility Knife features a press and flip mechanism for easy, one-handed opening. The Milwaukee FASTBACK™ 6in1 Folding Utility Knife allows for make quick, tool-free blade changes for maximum jobsite efficiency. The utility knife has an all metal body, and a wire stripper for increased versatility. The 6in1 Folding Utility Knife includes a fold out 1/4" bit holder along with a reversible Phillips #2 and slotted 1/4" bit. For added functionality it also has a built in bottle opener. The folding utility knife is equipped with a durable wire belt clip to reduce pocket tearing and a blade holder designed for scoring. The folding utility knife has a metal extension that prevents accidental blade removal and a lanyard hole for convenient tethering.

HAVE YOU STARTED TRUSTING milwaukee think long and hard about a company unable to produce quality everthing
this is by leeps and bounds the hardest blade to change I have in-countered in my55 years using utility knives. I purchased the 48-22-1505 at this point after wasting about 2 hours trying to take one blade out I have not yet been able to approach replacing with a sharp blade. the number printed on the replacement blades is 48-22-1950 which states on the frount of the packaging " fits all utility knives ". I have had a good number of tools from MILWAUKEE tools this is the first nothing quality tool? try a sollid ,eazy to us STANLY utility knif it takes 2 min. to replace the blades.

Design fail
Great idea with poor execution. Why not make the bit holder magnetic? 2 knives have not made it through the first day without losing the bit. I have email Milwaukee twice to find replacement bits with no response. I love the tools but have gotten better customer service from Harbor Freight.

Was super handy but the screw that holds screw tip holder on fell out now the tip holder with the tip falls off when I open it now I'm looking for holder and tip when it falls off

Milwaukee fastback knife with driver
Almost perfect knife except one thing the ball bearing that holds the screwdriver bit definitely needs a redesign to fix this issue with a magnet inside or a ball bearing on the inside of the bit itself

Awful Bit Retention
Multiple times the bit and the detent ball that hold the bit in have fallen out. Luckily I have been able to find the pieces and put it back together but my luck ran out and I have now lost the detent ball and the bit. How do I go about getting these parts? Milwaukee either needs to make these parts readily available or better yet redesign the entire bit/holder part of this tool.

Faulty Bit Holder!!
So, so, so disappointed. This would be the best knife on the market in this category except for the EXTREMELY faulty bit holder. I've had 4 of these within the past year and a half and Every. Single. One. Has lost the bit.
If Milwaukee remedies this problem this knife would be 6 stars.

Good
Knife comes in handy, but the screw driver tip keeps falling out and I end up loosing them. I have bought 5, and all five are now missing the bit.

Faulty screwdriver bit holder
I currently own 2 of the fastback i love the knives when they are doing as they're supposed to but the screwdriver part on both has failed. The older one with a c clip on the inside and a newer one with the ball bearing and clip both fail to hold the bit and I'm not able to find replacement parts or figure out how to warranty them

Worst design
Worst design ever. My old one last years this new one I’ve had for 2 days and already broke lost the detent ball and bit won’t stay in now

Old Reliable
I’ve had my Fastback for a couple years now and I use it daily. I can deploy the blade quickly with a one-handed flick of the wrist, unlike my multi tool.Since I mostly just use the blade and flathead bit for work, my much heavier and cumbersome multi tool has been relegated to my bag and my Fastback stays in my pocket. Unfortunately, I lost the bit that came with it and I’ve replaced it with one that doesn’t fit so I can’t close the bit driver all the way. I was hoping there is a cheap replacement option for just the bit because I don't wish to replace the entire tool that has served me so well.

Great knife, but keeps falling apart
I love this knife. But in the year I've had it, the pin that holds the screwdriver fell out and disappear, I used a small screw to put it back together. The bit holder also detached, I had to epoxy it back together. Won't let me send it through the mail to have it warrantied, they want me to drive 1.5 hours one way so I guess I'll just keep fixing it.
