Sadly, very dissappointed...
EXTREME vibration makes my 6509-31 virtually unuseable. I've used "sawzall" saws, at work, in the past, so when I was ready to actually buy one I chose Milwaukee. Very disappointed; even with the foot braced against the work piece the saw bucks and jumps. Using just the tip is impossible. I've tried different tooth pitch blades, it makes no difference. If there is a counterbalance in this thing it must be 180° out of sync or didn't get installed. I won't sell to anyone else, it's too dangerous.

Sawzall does not meet expectations
Typically have been very pleased with Milwaukee tools but this sawzall is the worst I have ever had. Saw gets hot quickly and does not cut at consistent speed. Have put up with it for a while but need to move on.

It is a great tool to use when a saw just cannot be used. I’ve used mine to cut trees, remodel a room and cut everything from wood plastic and steel.

I'm a retired plumber, I've been using my sawzall for 38 years. Still runs strong, basically it's indestructible!

I bought this sawzall to be used at my home and to be loaned to my sons. They used it for several hours this weekend trimming an old blue spruce- worked very well. They also cut down a small tree- the sawzall made short work of it.

It's an okay sawzall that provides a good amount of power and has a good weight. However, the trigger is a little flimsy and there is a lot of give in the trigger before it will actually ramp up speed. Finer speed control is needed.

No need to look elsewhere.
I've owned this thing for about 8 or 9 years. Never a hiccup. Plenty of power for everything I've cut, from lath and plaster to hefty tree branches and roots, and a few chunks of metal here and there for good measure. (I just want a 1-800-Sawdust tee shirt!

63yr woman says "Best cutting tool ever!"
I am a 63 year old woman - I work in a general gearbox / wind turbine manufacturing facility in Receiving. Materials incoming to receiving dock and stockroom are large metal parts and gearing shipped in skids and crates braced with nailed in 2X bracing that must be removed. Recip saws are a MUST. We have a couple of different brands of recip saws available at work, so before I committed to buy a product myself, I was sure I only wanted a Milwaukee SAWSALL! I live in a home of my own, and am not inclined to ask for help with house or yard unless a safety issue or I just don't have the muscle - this is a super versatile, safe and easy power tool. I look for reasons to use it.

SSS actually lifted my deck which is about 15 x 20 and when water went down the deck was sitting on my fence which was right next to my neighbor's fence. I bought this saw and thought I had a nightmare job ahead of me. This saw cut across that deck so easily and I was finished in about an hour. I love Milwaukee! Now if only they could teach my husband how to use their products. Great tool and easy for a woman to use!
