Milwaukee 48-22-8451 Packout Foam Insert

Foam works the way it should. The layers came mis-aligned and were hard to separate. Also did not fit correctly into the Packout toolbox as nicely as expected. None the less I still use and like the product.

I bought this for the first time to store my M12 Spector Flex camera because I have all three attachments so I wanted to store them safely in one tool box. I considered buying this previously but my experiences with cutting my own insert is that it is difficult to get it cut really clean. I first placed all the items I wanted to store in the tool case and once I figured that out I traced the outline of each item using a red pen. I later realized that it would be good to trace the outline just a hair smaller for a really nice snug fit when you place the tool in the foam. I then used a serrated knife to carefully cut the outline. I cut on the line but should have cut just outside the line so I wouldn't have pen marks on the foam once I was done. Make sure to cut straight down. The cutting part was fairly easy and the come comes out fairly easily in layers. Total time from start to finish was about 20 minutes and overall I am happy with my first shot at customizing my own tool case. I'll be honest right after I finished this I started to look at what other tools I might want to create a custom case for. I think it's well worth the money to store more expensive or delicate tools. I am going to order more!

I would like to know what type of glue can i use to glue some pieces together .

This fits perfectly tight in the 48-22-4850 case but not the others listed.

Bought this to organize some of my milwaukee tools. The Foam layers don't separate that easy. Good idea but needs work. Would be better if the layers would separate alot easier. I would buy again if the product would be redesigned.

Great idea. But the insert is not easy to get the right fit on the tool you are trying to fit. Layers are very hard to peel apart. Would also be nice if you made them for the compact packout as well

I bought two of these to organize two of my pack out boxes. The layers do not separate at all except half way down. To customize depth I had to use a flat razor blade to slice the foam. Great idea but needs work to easily organize. I will buy again if these are redesigned to separate at each layer.

Its perfect for those tools and instruments that need a little more careful handling like meters and lasers. Thanx for the sample to test. Will buy many more.
