Milwaukee 0882-20 Description

The M18™ Compact Vacuum provides users with the most powerful & adaptable handheld cleanup tool. A high performance motor creates best in class suction for cleanup of drywall dust, wood/metal shavings, and common jobsite debris. With a unique handheld design, the M18™ Compact Vacuum can be used in a wide variety of orientations and applications across the jobsite. For added versatility, the 0882-20 comes with (2) extension wands, 4’ flexible hose, crevice tool, floor tool, and removable HEPA filter. A clear view and easy to empty canister provides added convenience. As a part of the M18™ System of tools, it is powered by REDLITHIUM™ battery packs, which deliver up to 25 minutes of run time on a XC5.0 battery pack and 43 minutes of runtime on a HIGH DEMAND™ 9.0 Battery Pack.

Not small, not big…but powerful
Much more powerful than anticipated. Not quite as lightweight and easy to maneuver as say a “dust devil” or equivalent “portable” vacuum, but much stronger. I also love the reliability of it being Milwaukee and batteries can be changed as opposed to charging whatever is in the “portables”. Purchased for my service truck to clean up after jobs, but found myself bringing it inside the house just as often. I do think the canister release could have been designed slightly better somehow. I’m sure the process will become more natural, but where the latch is and how it releases and latches, just seems like the bottom of the handle and battery get in the way.

M18 Vacuum.
I have other M18 tools & batteries so I bought the bare tool mainly to vacuum out deer blinds each year. Works great for small uses around the house. Sawdust, pet hair, dirt. Worked great for our just finished kitchen renovation.

Highly recommend this tool. Very powerful and lightweight. Downside is that it drains a battery very quickly.

Best little vac around
Bought this for my job site when i need a quick clean up and the wife ended up claiming it as her daily user for around the house. Keep the filter clean and your golden. It's a great portable vac. And duh it's no powered huge wet dry vac u would be dumb to purchase it for that reason. But for the size and it out performs.

Not what I would expect from Milwaukee
Got this product for Christmas, used it maybe 10 times since for small jobs. e.g. cleaning couches, car, vacuuming stairs. A couple of weeks ago it just stopped working all together.

Don't Waste Of Your Time and Money On This Tool
Update for earlier posting from 11 days ago.
Had it sitting in the shop for a few years, finally unboxed it and used it for 5 hours of total runtime over a couple of months. Shut the unit down after a short use and will NOT power back up. It was great when it worked and not when it would not power up!!
If I could give it a zero star rating I would. Most disappointing M18 tool we own (and we have lots).
The vac sat unboxed in the shop for several years, then used for a total of 5 hours so the cost per hour of $129.00/5=$25.80.
The tool is out of warranty and Support offered repair at our cost, it basically failed out of the box (5 hours). The tool is just a throw away.
There are products from other vendors that will out perform this product and last longer than 5 hours.
AVOID THIS M18 COMPACT VACUUM!!!

No complaints
Purchased a few weeks ago and the vacuum has worked very well. No complaints so far. Only downfall I've noticed is the weight. It is awkward in certain positions but otherwise works very well.

Ultimate hand vac!
Excellent product! It has fantastic suction and overall the unit is lightweight given the performance. Works better than some of my full-size shop vacuums. 10 out of 10 highly recommend! Only criticism would be for Milwaukee to include a brush tip.

Excellent vacuum and great investment.
We wanted a compact handheld vacuum to support the main household sweepers. Since we already own several Milwaukee tools and have several M18 batteries, we felt this would be better than a traditional handheld. This item has amazing power and is very comfortable to operate. We couldn’t be happier with our choice.

18V Compact Vacuum
Have had this Vacuum for a couple of years and it worked great up until 2 months ago. It started shutting down after about a minute. Filter was pretty dirty so I replaced it but didn't help. All of our other Milwaukee tools have lasted several years and are still performing well so we still believe in your products. Hopefully you can come up with a fix or the vac.
