Does not hold up.
This is the 2nd one of these 23 gauge nailers that I bought in the last 18 months.

Both of them stopped shooting nails.

Nice gun, but firing pin could be more durable.
I bought this nailer about about a year ago, because it can fire 2" nails. Worked very well, never jammed or misfired on me, until now. The pin that drives the nail got a bit deformed and it jams constantly. I found on ebay that aftermarket piston/pin units are sold, and they sell a LOT, which tells me they fail often. Something to improve methinks. I have had a porter cable nailer that hasn't failed me in 8 years; only thing is that it only goes up to 1-3/8 nails.

Jams all the time
Guess it's luck of the draw if you get one that works without jamming.

Great, but it does not work
I was applying baseboard trim until it stopped driving nails. The push pin that drives the nail would not retract. The first 50 nails were fine.
Taking the nailer back to home depot where I bought it. Since the nailer worked so well at first I would recommend it. I must have bought a lemon. I own other DeWalt tools that are fabulous, so I will give it another try.

Solid, dependable and very precise. First rate!
This pin nailer drives 23G fasteners with ease through all varieties and densities of wood. I really like how almost imperceptible the pin holes are. And this method really beats the old finishing nails, wood filler and sanding process. The nailer is easy to load, unload and does mar or bruise the wood surface. Highly recommend it!

Fantastic Nailer
Very easy to adjust the depth of the nail. I really like it is tool free to remove any jams. I have not had a jam after over 1,000 different sizes of nails. Once you drive a nail it is very easy to make the hole almost invisible.
Best finish nailer i have ever owned. One of the few out there that you can drive 2" nails.

very good tool, BUT...
this tool is very good. i wrote a full review on the home depot site. BUT, i needed to add something to this.
The gun is very light. SO, the air hose, if not very flexible, causes it to be a little more difficult to handle /control the tool, line it up, etc. So i started looking for flexible hose, but instead i added a SWIVEL air connection. it has made a big difference.
DEWALT, you should consider INCLUDING this swivel connector WTH the tool, makes it MUCH easier to control.
ALSO, regarding the straight connector that is instaled - teh SEALANT, that brown/red stuff, is NOT very good (this applies to other sites that sell such adapters, pre-sealed). that brown/red stuff , if you REMVE the connector, is flakey, hard to remove from threads, and has possibility of getting into the air cahmber of the gun. yuou should use teflon tape instead, because if you need to remove the connector (albeit rarely), the teflon tape is easier to clean from threads.
BUT, see my home depot review, on this gun, it fires well, lines up well, the tip is marked for centering.
overall good product !

23 Ga Pin Nailer...Perfect
I bought this about 8 months ago, and have had time to use this tool. First, the size, balance, and ease of operation are excellent. It is extremely easy to load and unload the pin nails. Adjusting the depth with the knob on the front IS A MUST, and it has this. I have read a lot of reviews that complained about the setting of the pins, and I have not encountered any of those problems. There is minimal marring on the wood surface when setting them. I have noticed some marks around the nail on white pine, but have not had visible marks on any hardwoods.

GET IT if you need this type of nailer!!
