RIDGID 61688 K-5208, 115V 60Hz Sectional Drain Cleaner With Guide Hose

I bought this machine 2 years ago and at first I didn’t understand why it was lacking power I then realized all it needed was a simple clutch adjustment which took 2 seconds since that day no power issues if the clutch loosens up I just tighten it real quick and continue on my only other problem has been the plastic cover on the bottom of the machine it broke but ridgid sent out a new one free of charge other than those 2 problems great machine powerful and lightweight easily capable of doing 200’ I have many times and I would recommend the cart you can purchase separately.

I have bought this machine years ago and so far am absolutely happy with the results! Roots are not a problem for it. I have ran over 100’ of 3/4 cable and have no problem.
If someone claim that has no power I am sure they did not read the manual and did not adjust the clutch properly.

I run two hundred feet of cable with this machine. I’ve had no issues. Even with roots. I saw the review where the guy said he can’t run 40 feet of cable and I have to say that’s my one caveat - this machine has an adjustable clutch. There is a knob on the back side so you can change the size of your cable, which is awesome, but it loosens up on you. I’m guessing he doesn’t know that because he wouldn’t be the first. Aside from that I have no complaints about this machine. And he is right. The ridgid reps can be pretty useless depending on where you are. The rep should have gone out his way to solve that issue. Mine has been good but that’s where Ridgid needs to step it up. Their distribution and their reps are seriously lacking. I’d try general but their products are lacking severely. Except for their cables which this machine will run.

I bought this 1 1/2 yrs ago, great machine. I would recommend this to all my buddies.

I bought the k5208 a year ago it worked very good for 2 months then it lost all power(Balls)took it in for warranty it took 3 months b4 i got it back it worked A1 till 2 months ago lost all its Balls again i believe its the same problem still waiting if this was my only machine i would lost my business

The 5208 packs a serious punch and delivers performance everytime with its compact design. Very easy to use and easy to change cable sizes, by simply turning the dial on the clutch. Choice of 7/8 or 1.25” cable. Can clear drains up to 200ft of pipe between 2-8”. My favorite part of the 5208 is the cable carrier with enclosed drum on a spinning base. Makes it 10x easier to feed cable thru the flexible guide hose and intro he drain. Using the trident which is another cool tool that comes with the machine and in its own compartment on the machine, separating cable or heads from cable is a breeze.

The 5208 definetly has the power to clear roots and heavy blockages, while being compact and not taking a ton of space on the job site which is key for me which small New England basements. I highly recommend to anyone in the market for a drain machine that can get any job done.
