I thought Ridgid was better than this
I got this threader today and got it setup to replace an old rex wheeler, so much wrong with this thing... It's SLOW and I mean SLOW SLOW, the set screws in the guide arm were loose causing them to slide back and forth when your turn the handle (I tightened them so not a problem, am kind of annoyed I had to do that on a $7k machine) the head and dies.... On black 1/2" pipe, brand new dies that came with the machine ripped up the threads, I have to set it to this depth for RMC or I can't even get a loose coupling on it. I also have the Milwaukee MX Threader and it has this thing beat hands down, it's not even a competition.

Best power threader, period!
I have been using 535 since 1988 and have trained uncounted men and women in it’s use. Once they learn the ease and simplicity of operation they can train the next generation.

Great machines
I'm an industrial steamfitter and fabshop foreman. The company I work for has 5 of these, from old to new, and even the oldest is still in service. From shop to field these machines are tough as nails. Parts are typically available. There is an occasional fix needed. Usually with the oiler. Will thread anything from stainless and carbon to aluminum, 3/8" to 2" and even rod. Well worth the money.
