I’ve waited awhile before writing this because I wanted to get a good amount of working time before I have my honest opinion. And I absolutely love this saw. Great power, great battery life. This thing will handle anything you need it to or use to use your corded saw for. This really does let me cut the cord for sure! Don’t hesitate and get this. I will say the only downside is it doesn’t have a rafter hook, which would have made it perfect. But as for the cutting, it is great!

DeWalt hits another home run
When I found out that this was being delivered to the house, I could hardly wait, I mean very little beats the arrival and unpacking of a new power tool! Everything was securely packaged and undamaged. Both batteries were fully charged and ready for use in about an hour. First order of business was to cut through a 4-inch thick branch of our maple tree that had snapped during winter. Flawless cutting and was like a hot knife through butter! The beefiness if the saw helped to minimize vibrations. My 13-year old son wanted to try it out. I thought that height have some issues due to the weight - no issues and it was very easy for him to handle. Highly recommend and can't wait to use on future jobs!

The only drawbacks I've ever noticed from cordless tools was the lack of power and longevity in the the bigger tools like Sawzalls and circ. Saws but this new flex volt Sawzall has all the power of an electric one and the 60v 9ah batteries just keep going and going !! I'm getting close to the point of leaving my extension cords at home because I don't need them anymore !!

It's a beast ! Solid Like a plug-in but cordless!
I've put this kit to work now for 2 full battery cycles doing demolition. The 9AH batteries last awhile even with this being a flexvolt tool. It is heavy and I'm a little dissapointed that the regular batteries wont fit. I get why but it would be nice to have a mode where you could use one in a pinch to finish a cut or 2. Dewalt doesn't come up short here though and if you're doing hard sawzall work, cant beat this setup! This is going to put my old red plugin sawzall on the shelf for the next garage sale.

Compact, portable, and powerful
This 60v reciprocating saw is extremely comfortable to handle, even in a compact form it fits your hand and grips well. This key with how powerful this saw really is. It has a slow start for a nice cut line, but then once you squeeze the trigger this bad boy rips through whatever your trying to cut. The addition of the 9ah batteries and fast charger make an unbeatable reciprocating saw, that will never die. Only downside is it only comes with one blade so plan on buying some blades when you purchase it. Overall compared to other reciprocating saw I have owned in the past this dewalt 60v reciprocating saw by far supercedes them in quality, comfortableness and power.

I would say it more powerful than the chorded version. Only downfall is how heavy the tool and battery is.

Been using the 20 volt compact reciprocating saw for years and I’ve been quite satisfied with the performance of that little guy. Being able to cut between studs is great but the power was not really there. After using the 60 volt reciprocating saw for a few weeks now and I don’t think I’ll using the compact saw ever again. Not only is the 60 volt a beast but the vibration is so much better. This will come in handy especially if you’re cutting all day and that’s where the batteries come in places. Thinking that since it’s a 60 volt, the run time won’t be long. That’s not the case. I get just as much run time as the compact 20 volt using the 9ah batteries. I wouldn’t use anything less than a 9ah. Also, the 60 volt is a 3000 SPM so it cuts much faster than the compact which is a 2900. 100 more SPM but when comparing the two, a huge difference. Despite the size of the saw and not being able to cut between studs, the power, the vibration, and the run time, the 60 volt reciprocating saw is the clear winner.

Cuts like a warm knife in butter
I had some frame sections to cut into on a vehicle I was restoring, which my cutoff wheel couldn’t handle... that’s when I ran into this reciprocating saw. It has SO MUCH POWER and it doesn’t overheat like the “green tools”. This saw cut through my frame like it was a hot knife in butter. I noticed it didn’t kick too much so I was also able to cut out some floor sections with a decent amount of precision. I also had some old tires to recycle so I decided to cut them up using this saw and it had no problem cutting through them. I would recommend getting this kit because it has the two big batteries and a quick charger, which is necessary for this tool. Everything fits nicely in the case it comes with and it has the push button battery protectors. I’d recommend this saw kit to anyone, it’s an excellent tool to have in your life.

Dewalt reciprocating saw flex volt
Im a licensed builder in Michigan and I love tools, I've used many different brands and each have there pluses and minuses. for this sawall, some of the pluses, its got plenty of power, especially for cordless. I love how long the 9ah batteries last. I was able to use one battery all day to cut old boards off a 16x20 foot deck. I like the blade release mechanism. it feels good in your hands over all. a couple down sides, it is definitely heavy. the weight is great when pushing down, but working above your head it gets tiring quickly. I do wish it had some form of rafter hook for working up high. overall, a great product for professionals or homeowners looking to lose the cord.

This saw has only a few draw backs so I'll get threw those first. The foot not being adjustable is something I'm not a fan of, and its not being a four position is kind of a let down. Not quite enough for me to knock off a star. Because it's pure power is unbelievable and runtime comparable to my old 18v saw with 2.4 amp hour battery. Just remember these 60v batteries are 6 amp hours in a 20v tool and only 2 amp hours in a 60v tool. This saw is incredible. I was cutting some shock mounts off a truck frame that a could not reach with a grinder and cut off wheel. This beast cut threw 4 inches of weld and1/8 steel like is was a hot knife threw butter, ok well maybe not that easy but I had my full weight on the saw it never slowed down or even sounded like it struggled at all.
