No problems
Bought mine at Tractor Supply, bargain bin. I use mine to measure yardage for target practice , measure off garden rows for fabric covers , and measure heights of chimneys, chimney sweep by profession . To be honest I thought the window was to apply spray lube, which I did do. Anyway i haven't had a problem with mine.
