An absolute must have for any DIYer, home owner, or mechanic! This is a fantastic collection that can handle any problem big or small. I use this set daily in my scenic shop while fabricating props for theme parks. I keep them at hand because I know that any bolt, nut or screw can be handled with this kit.

My first impression of the kit was really good. It comes in a nice toolbox to help keep all the tools nicely organized and easy to find whatever you may be looking for. I also like how you can take different drawers of tools with you instead of having to bring the whole box with you. Its very well organized which is a big key in my line of work to be proficient. I also like how gearwrench has put teeth in their open ended wrenches so it will help get rusted nuts and bolts out. You get quite a bit of tools in this case that can allow you to do many different jobs throughout the day. I would definitely recommend this kit to anyone starting out in the field because these tools will help you get the jobs done no matter what you may be doing.

This is a great set for the garage mechanic. With a selection of sockets from 1/4 drive through 1/2 drive, it will tackle almost any car or tractor project. The combination wrenches up to 3/4" and the metrics augment the sockets to get a tool on both the bolt head and the nut. The wrenches are recessed sufficiently to provide a flat surface for your coffee or water bottle.
The drawers are locked in securely with flaps on either side that snap tightly. They come out and can be moved right to the work, helping to eliminate the back and forth to the tool chest.
The socket sets are complete in standard and deep, SAE and metric. They have ridges on the tool end so they are grip with fingers to spin the loose nut or bolt quickly. I especially appreciate that all of the metrics are included in the size ranges provided. I've been caught short once or twice when my tractor required a size that apparently isn't used in automobiles and was skipped Odds or evens aren't good sets any longer. You won't have that frustration with this set.
There are also bit drivers that cover the slotted, phillips, torx, and hex. A set of nut runners with 1/4 hex can be used in the drive handle or a drill.
With all of the bits, you might not reach for the Allen keys often, but when you need one, they are included also.

Impressive and useful tool selection, higher quality and more durable than others. High quality socket set, good selection for basic auto repair, sturdy case. Excellent quality, a useful selection of wrenches.

Man, this is a solid setup for someone who needs a good base toolset. This would be a excellent mobile toolset also. I’ve been using this on my ongoing restoration of my 1961 impala. The tools performed great as I expected from gearwrench stuff. The chrome is very smooth and looks well plated. A lot of companies, even higher end chrome looks worse than what’s on these. The chrome was even inside the sockets as well which is something you don’t see often. The stamps were easy to read and there are no laser etchings on them. Everything is neatly organized into 3 trays which lock solid when everything is closed up. Another thing I was not expecting was the ratchets being greased from the factory! A lot of ratchets are just coated with light oil which wears off quickly, it was a pleasant surprise to see grease on the pawl and gear of the ratchet. I’ve put the 1/2 and 3/8 in dr ratchets through the wringer getting the front end of the impala disassembled. 60 years of rust, dirt, mud etc, I used a breaker bar on the 1/2 dr, no skipping or anything, it is a tank. I was expecting to bend the ratchet handle with the breaker bar but it got the bumper bolts off the frame just fine. Inside the ratchets looks new, no chipped or worn out splines. These are heavy duty, not as smooth as the gearwrench 120 tooth ratchets but they can take some abuse and would put them up against any ratchet out there. I have tools from high end truck brands to discount chain brands and gearwrench is prob my fav because of the quality to value ratio is pretty hard to beat. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great toolset to get started.

Awesome tool kit, would work great as a starter set. I keep mine in my truck for buying cars or just to have on hand in case of emergency. Very nice selection of sockets and wrenches. The plastic case is very well assembled and everything fits very nice.

This is one of the most complete tools set you can find at a great price. It includes all the sockets and wrenches you need without inflating the tool piece number with a lot of worthless duplicates and screwdriver bits. It has a wide range of sizes and the plastic case is pretty decent. I have not had a chance to use the tools much, but all the Gearwrench tools I own are good quality.

A terrific set for the novice and/or the professional. Complete with no missing sizes. Even a 20 mm, a 20 mm.
I’ve been buying tools for over 30 years and this is the first set I have ever seen with complete sizing. I have always had to purchase extra items to get everything I needed.
If you’re a beginner start with this set.
If you are a professional you will want this set. From the ratchets to the wrenches you can’t go wrong. Gearwench has done it again!
