I use the 60 volt battery and usually don't have to charge it again from Monday until Thursday morning. This charger charges battery is fast and they hold a charge a long time. It's a great product...

Just purchased new charger. It's only a 6amp charger, but it charged faster than my older charger. I did my best to find the yellow 12amp speed charger but not available in my local stores.

DCB1106: An excellent charger!
I got this charger about a month ago with a 20/60 Volt MAX battery. Since then, I've used my powered-up tools to build a new set of basement stairsteps, and done some other small projects around the house. This charger works way better than my 20 Volt battery chargers. The time to charge is greatly reduced for both my 20 and 60 Volt MAX batteries. DeWalt made it easy to convert to a higher power battery without changing the entire system. The 6 amp battery has longer duration of the charge and supplies more torque to my tools. My main tool used for this project was a XR series hammer drill and circular saw. Now that I have this capability, I will be getting a few more 60 Volt MAX tools that I've had my eye on! I have not had to wait for a battery to top off while cycling between two batteries; the charger speeds up charge time over my previous chargers and there is no comparison to the "other guys" with respect to quality and durability. Overall, I am tremendously satisfied with my new charger and battery system. A for the increase in power and speed and boost in productivity, but also because it works with my existing batteries as well! I will recommend this system to my friends both DIYers and Contractors!

Does exactly what it needs to.
What can you say about a charger.....it charges batteries. This one just does it faster!! When you're on that job and end up ripping through all your batteries, this charger will keep up. Not waiting for batteries means being more productive and that means more work.

An upgrade from the previous version
If you own any cordless Dewalt product you are familiar with their battery chargers. This latest version improves upon the previous generation with a 2-stage charging indicator indicating that your battery is 80% charged. To me, the quality of this charger also feels better than the previous version. The shell feels more durable, and the charger itself feels more substantial than previous iterations. This will charge both 20v and 60v Flexvolt batteries. The charge times did not seem any faster than the previous version but, overall, a nice improvement for the base model battery charger.
