Don't buy waste of money an time I use mines a month an it starting smoking an bured

I bought this drill because my prior smaller drill died on me. I've used this drill for the last 3 years on a ton of small projects around the house and it has never failed me once. Zero issues with small job drilling or as a screw gun. No clue how many times it has been dropped or knocked over, but it doesn't miss a beat!

I've used this drill/driver for all sorts of jobs, and over the past few months built a pergola using it everywhere I could. 1/2" holes through 6x6s, 1-1/2" spade bits through 2x's, 4" 3/8 lag screws, #10 wood screws 10" bolts.

Incredibly easy to chuck the various bits, swap the torque, change the spin or lock the trigger. The batteries seem to last forever if not really pushing the tool (it will eat through a battery doing the larger/longer screw driving).

The light position/aim is perfect and the belt hook was a nice inclusion.

I bought this yesterday at Lowes. I like the tool. The size and ergonomic design is great. The power is good. However, one of the two batteries is dead! The battery charger design could be better. As it is, the batteries do not channel into the cradle and snap in to clearly let you know that the battery is seated.

Powerful is the word to describe this 12v drill. I use him to make wood boxes and perform really good, for fastening. It is light and the battery last as expected.

I bought this drill from Lowe's Spring of 2020. After use for a couple of months, the drill would not hold a charge. I was able to speak to a support person. They had me send the drill in and a week or so later I got a replacement. I briefly used the drill once or twice. When I got to November, both batteries would not hold a charge. I then took it to repair center in Houston (drove 35 miles. They said one battery was good and replaced the other battery. Now, it is the end of December and the older battery will not hold a charge. Over the course of this time, Dewalt has less support options and it is more difficult to find support on their website. I really do not want to drive a total of 70 miles to replace a battery. This will be the last product I buy from them. Sad.

I have some arthritis in my spine so needed a drill lighter than the 20V I initially bought, which while about 3.5 lbs, felt much heavier and was really noisy. This compact drill is just about perfect for my needs. At $190 though I rated the value as a 4. It did come with 2 batteries, charger and a case though.
