Looking Forward to Next Drywall Job
I was very impressed with this tool. It is well built, brushless and has just the right amount of weight to it. Two batteries included which is very convenient. I tested it out on a small job and did excellent. Perfect torque without going all the way through the drywall. I'm actually looking forward to my next drywall job which is in my in-laws basement if that tells you anything.

This drill is on another level! With the easy change depth you can always get the right head sinkage into the sheet rock. It can hang almost anywhere with the two different clips. My favorite part is the selectable modes, push to start(what a life saver), high and low trigger mode, and continuous on, they make it so much easier to get good quality work done in a faster time. I’m very pleased with this screw gun!!!

I can honestly say, as much as I have used this tool it has not failed to disappoint whatsoever!! I have used to do almost an entire house and it outperformed my other screw gun in every way! I can say I prefer this model over its predecessors. It has the right power for every application I need it for.

The closest thing to a nailgun for drywall
I've used a lot of drivers - drill drivers and impact drivers. I've installed drywall using a drill driver set with a torque limiter -- it works, but variability of wood is a pain. My favorite setup so far was an impact driver with a DeWalt drywall bit -- the one where the collar caused the bit to 'slip' out of the head. If you didn't hit it fast enough, it just slipped.
Then I used this gun. I picked it up and played with it a bit. To be honest, I thought 'gun' was a bit of an ambitious name for it. It seemed like it spun like any other driver. I liked the ergonomics. I liked the push-to-drive feature. I liked the variable-depth adjustment feature.
Then I test drove a screw. Gun is accurate. You pick up the screw and it magnets on (thank you for a strong magnetic tip included!) Then you set it to push-to-screw mode using the button on the top of the gun, and press the screw against the wall: boom! It's in. The biggest thing I had to adjust to was pressing firmly so that it didn't prematurely disengage ... it drives that fast (on high speed). I was impressed.
To sum it up:
1) It drives FAST
2) The adjustable depth clutch accurately disengages regardless of what you're driving into
3) It is very comfortable to handle -- it aligns your hand, wrist, and arm exactly along the axis that you are applying force along.
4) It has a bright light pointed directly where you're working.
5) BONUS: It has a collated screw magazine accessory. I haven't tried it yet, but it is at the top of my to-try-next list.

Best drywall screw gun available today
I got this to use on a small remodel project, 25 sheets in a 15x20 room. Everything about this drill is amazing. The clutch and depth adjustment are easy to adjust. The handle feels good and stable whether working above or below your head. The light is really handy for getting a screw into a dark corner of a room or closet. The battery life continues to amaze me.

Total upgrade from my last drill. If you are doing multiple sheets of drywall, this drill is for you. With four modes trigger low, trigger high, push high without trigger and lock-on high speed. "My old drill only had low and high and was not brushless so total difference when using it." I do use my dewalt collated screw gun attachment with the drill in lock-on mode.

A must have for drywall work
I’ve been doing basic small drywall work with a drill/driver for the longest time and now that I have the DCF630 in hand, now I get it. Wow does this make drywall work so much easier!
With a little trial and error getting the depth adjustment setup, this thing makes driving screws so much easier. Each one is always at the perfect depth without any fuss.
Ergonomics are a bit different than any drill/driver because of the large trigger but you get used to it. I prefer the larger grip but this still works. I’m sure there’s a reason things are the way they are. I personally don’t like the large clip on the top as the tool too floppy with the battery so far out compared to the clips mounted on the side. But again, I’m sure that big clip works better for more professional use.
If you get this and you’re not familiar with one of these like I was, read the instructions!! I personally really like the pushstart mode - high speed. Just push and go! I don’t have a collated attachment (yet) but that sure would speed things up even more.
If you got a drywall project coming up, do yourself a favor and pick this up! It will make pinning down sheets of drywall faster and save you time later with mud because your screws are getting drilled at the right depth.

The Dewalt 20v XR drywall screw gun proved itself over the last few weekends! I added drywall to my metal buildings walls and ceiling, and all I can say is this thing is a beast! The kit came with a charger , (2) 2ah batteries, contractor bag and the screw gun itself. I love that with a twist of the nosecone I could set the depth for all the screws I placed. And the game changer for this drywall is the push start mode!

Make yourself the drywall king!
I’ve only had the drywall gun for a few weeks, and while I haven’t completed a large project with it, I can safely say it will be a tremendous help on my next DIY project. It has great power to drive screws, but at the same time with the adjustable nose cone, it can be set to the perfect depth to not drive a screw too deep. It has three settings—a select fire, a semi-automatic, and a full auto—all of which will be beneficial for different types of drywall jobs. The battery included will last you for quite a few panels, especially on select fire or semi-auto. With the Dewalt batteries being interchangeable, it’s very likely that you will already have a spare battery in the bag should you need it for larger jobs. While I’m not a professional drywaller, I think I can safely say that any DIYer or professional hanger will be very pleased with this gun. I would highly recommend!

I have been installing drywall for many years. I have used regular drills, impacts, etc. I am blown away by how much faster and easier using the Drywall Screwgun is. The ergonomics make the Screwgun feel comfortable in your hand. With minimal effort and plenty power, it takes no time for me to finish out section after section. Only thing I dislike is the location of the flashlight. I prefer the flashlight be parallel with the driver, thus eliminates the distraction of the shadow.
