Good stubby, powerful enough
The DeWalt 20V MAX ATOMIC 1/4 in. Cordless Brushless 3-Speed Impact Driver is a fantastic addition to any toolkit. Its compact size makes it easy to handle in tight spaces, while the powerful brushless motor delivers impressive torque for demanding tasks. The three-speed settings provide versatility for various projects. Another win for the atomic series, this tool combines convenience and power perfectly. Highly recommended for both professionals and DIY enthusiasts!

Got this in a bundle I bought and didn’t like it at all. I usually only buy XR tools from dewalt but this I couldn’t change. I ended up making a Frankenstein impact and changed the 1/4” lug to a 3/8 anvil for sockets. Now she kicks and I keep it in my roller for daily use.

Very good, but not excellent
This impact driver in general strikes the balance between very compact, but powerful very well. I've run this impact driver for 2,5 years now. It is solid built, and can take a lot of beating. A few things to improve for a next gen;
-Less wobble in chuck. The wobble is too much when the tool is new, and get's worse over time. Especially noticeable with longer bits.
-Incrased rpm, ipm and torque. 10-15 % better numbers would make a big difference.

Bought approximately a month ago and am VERY happy with it. Plenty of torque for commercial use. Previously had the DCF885 and this is night and day difference. ALMOST too much torque. Been snapping #3 Robertson impact bits almost daily. Overall I am extremely happy with my purchase.

Selector speed switch stopped working
Bought the is impact driver in 2021….light to moderate use…..mostly cabinet install. Selector switch for speeds randomly stopped working and only works on speeds 1 and 2. Impact driver worked great until that happened. A little disappointed in the fact it broke so soon.

Great compact body for tight spaces and powerful
I finally got the updated tool from my 5 year old dewalt impact driver that does not have the 3 speed. With this new 3 speed compact driver, i'm able to drive in screws much faster and the smaller head is great for getting into small tight spaces. The only down side, is it feels light, which is good for the wrist, but makes you feel that the tool may not be as sturdy. But overall, great tool so far.

Would not recommend this driver for any skilled laborer intrigued by the compact design. Seriously underpowered for daily carpentry needs.

The impact driver has trigger issues
The impact driver has trigger issues. I bought this impact driver in a set 7 months ago might have used it 3 or 4 times. I has always had trigger issues where you hit the trigger and nothing hapens then you hit it again it will work. I lived with it for a few months. But now it is doing it alot more. I filled out a warranty claim form. But Dewalt has nover got back to me. I have a ton of Dewalt tools one wall in my shed is a tool rack for my Dewalt stuff. This has me thinking maybe it is time for a change.
