Great tool!

I bought this for detail work on cabinetry installs and trim work in new residential construction. The nailer jambs frequently or will randomly start leaving nails proud. Ive tried different brands of nails and never found one that worked consistently well. My nailer recently quit working altogether after only using it sparingly since I bought it in April 2023.

Definitely started out as a luxury purchase on my part. After using this on a few small jobs I realized, for my purposes, I should have bought this years ago. It saves time and provides added flexibility to my process (not to mention replacing the task of using more and more clamps as well as eliminating 'spot' CA glue usage).

Worked flawlessly. No jams, easy to setup and maintain. I use it primarily for fine woodworking, and even nailing into hardwoods, it had no trouble and was consistent in pressure when dialing in the depth.

My tool trailer was stolen. This is the first tool I replaced. A brand new trailer with $30,000 worth of tools inside. 75% were DeWalt. I got a new 10”rolling table saw today. I will buy DeWalt again they are ultra dependable. I had 31 batteries my cordless collection was extensive and never a problem. I have been in construction for over 40 years and DeWalt is my brand.

As a side-gig I use a Shaper Origin to cut logos for businesses and mount them on walls. This nailer is perfect for that (in conjunction with adhesive, of course). The extra cost is worth it so as to not have to lug around a compressor! But what I did not expect is how incredibly useful this thing is for day-to-day stuff. ANYTHING you want to glue can be set with this pin nailer, and the "lesion" it leaves is so tiny you do not have to deal with any patching! My garage door had a lot of trim that was flaking and warping. With some waterproof glue and this pin nailer, I had the whole thing fixed in half an hour! I do own a 18 gauge DeWalt nailer, but anticipate it will be used much less now that I have this pin nailer. In fact, if you are a home based DIY person, and thinking of 18 gauge or 23 gauge, seriously consider this pin nailer (and using adhesives). After all, you are not framing houses, are you? This product is def worth the extra $$$!

being wanting to get a battery powered pin nailer and stapler, finally got my hand on one, DeWalt did not disappoint, its portable compare with the finish nailers, but a little bulky to the numatic models, but the convenience of the cordless and the noise of the compressor out weighs the size. it is very fast, hasn't jam on me yet, which is a very big plus, if you ever use a battery power finish nailer, you know how annoying it is when they jam. i have the new powerstack battery and it works very well with the nailer. Now, I just need the DeWalt 20v Stapler.

After finally getting a chance to use this gun im impressed. Ran all day on one 2ah battery. Worked perfectly for holding returns in place while the glue dried. Has a real smooth feel when it fires compared to my older dewalt cordless guns but that also may be because of the smaller gauge. It is very compact and light and makes pin placement easy. All in all definitely worth buying if you do a lot of finish carpentry. Makes a nice addition to my set.
