Limited use but handy for light duty projects
These are designed to work on small gauge wires. Such as 14-22 gauge (chicken wire, hardware cloth) and fabric. And light duty projects.
It will not work attaching small gauge to larger gauge wires.
The size of the head makes it impossible to get into the 1/2x1/2 or smaller hardware cloth unless you are attached a side panel to a top panel (90° angle).
Small animal cages, chicken wire for pens and upholstery work.
Works great on chicken wire regardless.
As far as sharp points, these are designed to create a wraparound ⭕️ circle. The points come together so they are not able to catch on anything or cause harm to animals or fowl
The wire is thin gauge and if not applied properly will pull apart.
For what it is designed for, this works great.
Loading the wire can be tricky, but so can loading a heavy duty stapler.
The staple will stick together if the staples are not applied properly in the completed circle ⭕️ .
Overall, it has its uses, though limited.

Good pliers and hog rings easy to use
I found the pliers and hog rings easy to use and to load. Used in car seat upholstery repair and for sausage casings use. It would be nice if it also had access to a smaller ring

Buying again for both shop and truck
I've been using the other gyroscopic screwdriver for a couple years now. I will purchase this version immediately for full price if I ever find it in stock locally. I would have bought this and the fixed handle model without hesitation if it were ever stocked.
Once you get accustomed to how sensitive these are, they are really great for specific tasks. These are intended for lighter duty, more exacting work. They have a surprising amount of power for an 8 volt system, and the lock up for using it as a screwdriver is excellent.
If I find them in stock again, I'm going to buy two so I can have one on the truck and in my shop. I would like to see more tools that use the 8 volt line for jobs that are in tight spaces and require a light touch to not damage the internal components. Tools like these allow me to use exactly what is needed for jobs instead of trying to use one tool that may work, but only just OK.

Just as good as big name automotive tool brands
I used to use Dewalt impacts while doing alignments on cars. They have never let me down, and are a quarter of the price of big name automotive tool brands.

Don’t get me wrong. I love this saw and how useful it is but in my opinion it’s a little on the heavy side. Obviously it’s a big saw and it’s gonna be heavy. It is very helpful when cutting taller baseboard or crown molding for a whole house and saves a lot of time but personally I wouldn’t be pulling this big guy out just to replace a couple pieces. Overall it’s a good bang for your buck.
