Milwaukee 2471-20 M12 Li-Ion 12V 3/8" - 1" Copper Tubing Cutter (Bare Tool)

Have not used it in field yet but I just came to realize this is designed with a plumber or a homeowner in mind rather than an HVAC/R Mechanical Contractor. The tool will not cut 3/8” OD refrigeration which is standard in the industry.
One thing I did notice was the offset cutter/cam which makes the tool gyrate while in use is a bit annoying and nothing I want to become accustomed to working with. Additionally, there is a lot of switching which needs to be done between cuts. Then there is the excessive amount of interior de-burring which needs to be done; more than with a conventional cutter. I’m not entirely convinced this is a time saving tool but I will say it will
surely reduce fatigue of the wrist, but that too comes with a price.

These are great when they work but if the see one drop of water they're done. I'm on my third one and don't think I will be getting another one.

Efficient and easy to use. Very good tool that makes cuts quick and easy.

I haven't had any issues with the M12 copper cutters. I do a lot of recipes and cannot avoid getting water inside the wheel at times. I simply blow some air in there at the end of the day and make sure I sit cutter side down n so any extra moisture drains out. This tool is awesome. . . Period.

This tool is a fantastic addition to my collection of milwaukee power tools. It cuts through copper pipe in seconds and leaves a smooth straight cut that is ready to connect.

I finally got one after a year of watching my coworker use his to make his copper cutting work go loads quicker than mine. I love how the edges come out nice and even, making pro press jobs even quicker.

Quite a time saver. Repiping several air handlers with half and three quarter copper. Took a few tries to get it down but this is fast compared to a manual cutter.

This tool is great. My complaint is they are not sealed for water. If water runs back into the head the tool will stop working until you let it dry out.
